A photo of the day thread

Prat of the day arrives on the aire, which is totally unsuitable for a converted bus towing a car on a trailer.
Took him over 15 minutes to turn the bus around as the aire entrance is also the exit.

I'm usually the one to point and laugh and take pics. But our lass gets all huffy ;)

Took T10 bus from Betws y Coed to Lake Ogwen, then back to Swallow Falls. Couldn't walk too

far because of Ralf and bus timings.
As you see we are anout 3 feet and a dogs breath from the lake.

Last part of this disused railway line from grolejac to Sarlat. Stunning cuttings that were like cycling through a rainforest.
Moved on to Beaulieu Sur Dordogne and what a little cracker for our 32nd anniversary.

Had a ride from Camping de la plage to the Old Chateau at Grimaud. Nice old town.
It is lovely, and if I remember correctly the centre isn't very car friendly, let alone motorhomes. Roughly how far away is your campsite?

About a five mile ride on the Vespa from the site to the Chateau. Which gets us into so many places, parking often where there's no car access.

Stayed there quite a few years ago with Eurocamp I think it was.

Went to Port Grimaud not realising is was only (at that time) twenty years old...
We went to Port Grimaud donkey's years ago.
It was actually the day Princess Di was in the crash.

I bought a beautiful floaty dress from Port Grimaud market, unlike any other dress I had seen. It was gorgeous, sexy, skirt had layers od floaty sheer material and it was in the deepest blue... bit like the return key on my Android phone.

The heat of the South of France made me think even young Brigit Bardoe couldn't hold a candle to me. :)

Then I took the dress off and I looked like a modern day smurf... :(.... The blue stained all my body including bits I didn't know I had. :(.

Love Port Grimaud but my first thought is of sheer embarrassment.

Thanks. As a matter of interest, where do you carry the Vespa?

That weekend we were at the Mosel weinfest in Bernkastel. People (mostly Merkins) coming up to us saying how devastated we must be.... Had no idea what they were on about... TBH not that greatly affected.

Burrs Mill, photo of how it looked, cotton mill then used for POWs 2nd World War.
Last photo looking from Burrs Country Park to the site, that's us on the left, cab just showing Railway behind on which we are travelling on tomorrow. 🚂🚂🚂
