Whilst at Rosehearty, we had a look at a new "Aire" that seems to have been 'organised' by CAMPRA....(on Search4sites)

It looks very nice and if we had seen it later in the day we would certainly have stayed there.

Moved on and had lunch at the carpark next to the Banff Links caravan site.
Lovely beach with loads of surfers & SUP's

If you zoom in beyond the headland to the left of the image, you can just make out some hills on the horizon. A local told us this was Wick!

We stayed at Rosehearty around 30 years ago, at the time that facility was a newly opened/refurbished local authority site.

We were touring Scotland with a caravan and if I remember correctly it was free to use or possibly an honesty box, the toilets were immaculate, superb location.

XxAnthxX I can see that you are doing your best to promote Cornwall, but turning up the colour saturation on your photos doesn't fool me that the sky is that blue. Nice try. :sun::sun::sun::sun::sun::sun::smiley:

I’ve got no need to promote Cornwall…..nor fool anyone.

Sorry you don’t approve.

I’ll enjoy my day regardless and I hope you enjoy yours.

That's such a shame as you can see forum and photos are working fine, for others, can you clear some cookies or something to get your phone working properly.
So frustrating not being able to post photos.
Hi love, it's my phone... takes forever. If I click on the photo threads... or music... I have to go off and mame a coffee and clean windows before it downloads the photos.... THEN it usually lets me like them.
:)
I LOVE these photos. Know why? Anyone else old enough to remember Kodak colour photos when they first came out? The blue skies wdre sooooooo blue. :)

You have taken me back to childhood. Thank you.

I’m moving to St Ives today, sun is shining and sky is blue…..see if there’s anything interesting to capture there.

XxAnthxX I think I may have offended you. If so, I am truly sorry. I don’t disapprove of you promoting Cornwall or turning up the colour saturation on your photos. In fact, I wouldn’t blame anyone for Photoshopping or whatever they do to make the sky look blue, because judging by many of the other photos on here the UK appears to be having a very dull and overcast summer.
We need more colour in our lives presently, even if it‘s rainbows painted on the side of police cars!🌈🏳️‍🌈

Absolutely not….no offence taken 👍🏼

I can guarantee you tho, that right now in the south west of the UK the sky is very blue, very clear and the sun is shining….(I’m from the North East of England where it’s not so sunny by the way.)

The only thing that is ’corrected‘ if anything, is the colour balance which is done on the camera by the camera, no specific saturation increase, if I were to use the DSLR with a lens filter then they’d be even more vivid.

I’ve got some from Rocky Valley last week when the weather was a bit moody, but still vibrant in colour….I’ll stick them up when 5G is available.

Your all heart ❤️ 👍🏻🤣
Preparing for our getaway which may be delayed going abroad for a few days for change of circs.

Views from and around BIL's 'estate' overlooking the Black Isle and Cromarty Firth, unfortunately the view to the Beauly Firth is obscured by trees........he likes trees:giggle:

Not quite Cornwall where we live and love where others are obviously enjoying but our travels to the Midlands have brought us to the Hatton Locks on the Grand Union Canal. Not bad skies here XxAnthxX

Last year the East Coast of Cornwall was very good to me…..this year the West Coast is trying its best👍🏼

Hopefully I won’t wear all your sun out before you get back.

Just had a craic with another Funster. Didn't get their names or user name, but they were from Hexham and had just overnighted at Hawick.
Nice talking to you!

One of the times you wish you had a decent camera with you.... told little grandaughter, and thought, this dragonfly was part of the garden ornament...... but it was real. :) Can you spot it?
