A photo of the day thread

That Jim has got a lot to answer for, the sneaky git.
Strangely enough he and I were discussing the very same piccie this weekend at Stoneleigh. We reckoned it was taken at a Lincoln Show.

I have to admit, it's a job I detest doing, hence the "anti splash" stance. :(

Cheers,

Jock. :)
Les used to as well so I'd decided next time we were away that I'd take the job over - that was what I was faced with at Malvern & it was roasting hot as well:sick::sick::sick::ROFLMAO: awful design with all the open tops
I figured if I could manage there I'd be able to handle most empty points:laughing:. Can't say as I've mastered the anti splash dance yet to your level yet though Jock!

A couple of staycation photos from the Essex countryside

Kayaked along canal, lilies & cygnets & a lovely sunset

Was told about a pub which was named as the dog on the roof.
Followed instructions to the village with only 1 pub so went there. It was the square and compass.
Now we know why it is called the dog on the roof

As you are in that neck of the woods, then a visit to the Etches Collection of Jurassic Marine Life at Kimmeridge is well worth a visit as are the tea rooms opposite.

The Square & Compass is a GREAT Proper PUB (y)
I ve got to say. Well impressed. Their own beer. The menu is steak pasty cheese pasty or vegan pasty. We obviously went steak and it is STEAK.
You sit on rocks placed as seats and tables and you look across the hills of sheep at the sea whilst dogs climb roofs and birds as tame as you like (not seagulls but finches and thrushes) politely visit.
All within a drunken ride home on the bikes
Bliss.
Guess where we are off to tomorrow
