Lindisfarne. Holy island

Having a couple of nights at Port William, Dumfries & Galloway.

Our "front line" pitch with distant views over Luce Bay to Mull of Galloway and Isle of Man.

Curiously enough Graeme, No!. There wasn't much smell this time. We were there once when they were digging out the harbour. Margaret was bowking so much, there were tears in her eyes:sick::sick:.
We had a walk along the road to Whithorn this trip and there was quite a stench about a mile out of the village??
One of the volounteers at the campsite said
"they were trying to get to the bottom of the smell" but perhaps he was practicing his stand-up routine:roflmto::roflmto:

Still a lovely place for a couple of nights away! (y)

Mostly a nice run on the bike today........they said it was going to be sunny, liers, hail (let me tell you hail hurts when on a motor bike) and some rain. Route, Hartford-Rhug in Corwen-Sportsmans Inn-Denbigh-Mold-Hartford, and miles inbetween being lost.
No not my car regretfully.

The Porsche is nice, but it’s a kit. Having said that they are very nice, used to be a company called Chisel speedsters in Dorset do them based on a VW beetle floor pan. A genuine speedster would be left hand drive and cost a fortune. (y)

Yes i have heard of Chisel But could a real one be converted to RHD? Or would that de value it too much? Must say it was as new.

I would think that would devalue it. Some peaple start with a left hand drive beetle that way it looks more like it’s original. They look fantastic if done nicely which that one looks like it is. Thought about building one many years ago as I am into my VW’s

Spotted a newly forming swarm of bees on this afternoon's stroll with the hound. There is a colony in a hollow in an Ash tree that's about 80 metres away, I wonder if they've come from there ?

Then just around the corner, I spied this "pitcher plant" I'm not sure of its id, but I am sure someone on here will recognise it !

Another leg of the John Muir way done Carbeth to Wester Houston🚶‍♂️ only two sections to go. Being bufties, 8 miles per section is enough 🥵.Burncrooks reservoir. Looking towards Ben Lomond. Loch Lomond in the distance with a shower coming through

Took this M6 snap on my return journey from getting my second jab at Lancaster. The evening sunlight was highlighting the fells beyond Sedbergh, it reminded me of a Heaton Cooper painting (minus the motorway !)

Auckland viewed from the Devonport ferry. The huge ship is unloading cars from Japan, new and secondhand. On the quayside we could see about 30 motorhomes and caravans waiting to be collected. This is where our motorhome came in when we shipped it out from the UK.
