A photo of the day thread

Sat outside on the deck watching the sun go down over the Malverns. First time this year that we have sat out. This time last week you would have needed a wetsuit.

Took my wife for 2nd jab today other side of Exeter, afterwards we went on to Sidmouth. I have run up and down those cliffs a few times in my former working life.

Plassey.
Really nice site. Lot's of stuff to see and do. Our pitch overlooking a golf course.
The section of site we were on "Deluxe" had 32 pitches. Whilst we were there 29 of those pitches were Caravans and 3 only were motorhomes. Surprised with the ratio.

Don't know what the bird is. I am sure someone will be along to advise.

Hope you enjoyed our little corner of Cornwall , we live just up the road in Gorran Haven not far from Pentewan

So, as well as Wife Carrying as a sport here; we also go Bog walking. Here is a nice Bog to look at from the observation tower....

Its quite sad to see what we humans can build these days, but I guess it was designed with an accountant standing over the ships architect with a gun. saying 'I don't care if she looks like a block of flats and may fall over; you need to get more cabins in her' 🛳️=🩲=🤣

A beautiful view from the kitchen yesterday at Batson creek in Salcombe after a great day out kayaking.
Looks like an absolutely wonderful place to pitch.

A couple from our walk in to Thetford today. Actually it was my second visit this morning. Guess who forgot the milk - I had to jog in early doors. Running up the A134 was a bit tasty ☹️
Anyway for our walk we took the route suggested by Gazzag, much nicer.

Wasn’t exactly mountaineering but the climb up to motte and Bailey castle tump was pretty steep. I counted 88 steps and Archie counted 89. Unfortunately our 3rd and swaying voter abstained so we will have to come back next year to see who was correct.

Love going around 'Gardens' at this time of year....... Azaleas and rhododendrums(????) really beautiful.
Yes Movan they are Azaleas and Rhododendrons. The gardens are huge and there are so many varieties - colours and scents.
I couldn’t believe the colours. You turn a corner and there are more - it goes on and on.
what a stunning place to visit at this time of year. Highly recommend.

Any of you Army bods do your training at Wyke Regis Bridging Camp.?

Lone fisherman on the fleet lagoon, thought Bass fishing was illegal cos it`s a Bass nursery.. must have had a few miles walk to get to the there..

"Fleet Lagoon" or Littlesea...I love taking Daisy for an evening walk here... fairly level and I don`t have to walk far and she can run wild, never many people around cos they don`t know how to get here and so tranquil and quiet... Now you can see why we wanted to come back home after all our worldly travels...:inlove:
