A photo of the day thread

I think lockdown has started a day early. Lovely day and the local beach is empty!
‘‘Tis Duporth, one cove away from Charlestown.

Lovely November day here. Been busy in the orchard this morning pruning back the apple trees...

We keep a couple of sackfuls of the trimmings and let them air dry for next year and put them on the Kadai firepit when we are cooking pork...

Been a bumper crop this year. Got 3 banana boxes full of Worcesters, Cox's Orange Pippins and James Grieve packed away.

These are the last of the James Grieve that were still on the trees as I trimmed them...

We must have put about 10 barrowloads of windblowns on the compost heap! :lipssealed:

Was warm enough at lunchtime to get the firepit out and have a fried breakfast...

I spy a pussy cat keeping you company. How kind of you to put a blanket over the chair. That photo could grace the pages of Homes & Garden magazine.

Been on Dartmoor, above Okehampton. One of my favourite places Dartmoor around Belston and Okehampton, so quiet and no main thoroughfare. Then called in pub for last pint before LOCKDOWN.

CHEERS funsters stay safe and well. 🍺🍺🍺 SMUDGER55

Yes, Thomas adopted us about 10 years ago.
He is of indeterminate age and just turned up in our barns.
He spends most of the days and night outside and we feed him in the barn.
He does come into the house for periods of time but let's us know when he wants back outside. The chair is an old wicker chair with cut down legs as he can't jump up very high.
Margaret has been known to fill a hot water bottle teddy bear on cold nights to go in his bed in the barn!!
He has had a couple of short trips in the MH but doesn't like the movement.

We are fortunate that our son & d.i.l live next door and they take care of him when we are away.

He is a lovely natured cat, but I dont think he would appreciate us sending this unflattering photo.:giggle:

Well firstly thank you for liking my cow picture, this pic was taken 5 minutes ago on the opposite side of my school bus. It was very nice to have a ray of sunshine on this , my last day as I retire this afternoon.
We pick up our 2007 Autotrail Cheiftain next Thursday to start our new life full timing.... daunted and excited or what!
