A photo of the day thread

Love the whole narrow boat scene. 4 mph. Very relaxing. We have rented over the years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Never considered buying as i had a bobbins crew:ROFLMAO:
Who opened the locks, from what I have seen, presume your better half?. Smudger55

Great location and good for cycling. However they are usually late in cutting back the tow path hedgerows so when cycling in say December most people have punctures - hedgerow is hawthorn!
Oh cyclists, loads of them and they never slow down for the walkers, we spend half the walk in the hedge.. Smudger55

I believe “they” are volunteers helping to keep things going.
Their cycling faq suggests being able to do puncture repairs 🤪😳🤔
Yes that indicates the issue. Also if you head right From the campsite along to tow path away from the Locks it’s potentially a long walk to the locks to get the puncture repaired.

We took one of our classic cars out today for a run to Foxton locks with friends and while there a nice old steam powered canal boat came up thought the locks.

Not been too long home when a pair of hot air balloons came over low, one nearly clobbering the spire on our village church before the pair floated off into the distance.

Management was in York last week. She said it wasn’t too bad having pre booked her visits. The Shambles was the worst for crowding with people waiting to get in the shops.
It’s one of our places to visit for the Christmas market staying at the Lysander pub site near the park and ride. Not sure for this year though.

Not been to York for decades. Note to self, put York on list of places to visit.
York is also the home of the National Railway Museum. Heritage rules OK?

We are now at Broadway CMC site, so few photos that take me back to my childhood standing on Bolton-le-sands Railway station Bridge whilst steam train s went underneath. Sadly Broadway station was closed, they would not allow dogs on the train and if you wanted to go on the train you had to book a return trip from Toddington. Shame. Steaming to the Dream. Smudger55

Mikey it hasn't shown up. Unless it's my phone... Oops now it has. :)
Lovely photo.

We are down on a New Forest site at present and went out for a cycle ride this afternoon and came upon this tree with an unusual shape trunk looking a bit like a giant Bonsai.

Can one of the fungi experts out there tell me what this one is please.

Not long back from our bike ride and heard a noise coming towards us that could be only one thing.
