A photo of the day thread

Bubble blower earlier today on Brighton seafront.
Laika the wonder dog wasn't interested in the bubbles, all she kept trying to do was run to the water with her ball.
The campsite is pretty full , beautiful day today.

Apologies, but not my photo. We were looking through property listings online whilst in Spain and this made me smile.
In the estate agents spiel it lists...
"There is a garage with this property which is currently being used as an extra lounge with a fireplace"

I think someone should have informed the motorcycle owner about the change of use!!:whistle:

Met some Funsters for lovely lunch today ... asked the lady on the next table to photograph us .... she took a continual click press and we have six like this. I feel much better about my blurred ones now. :)

Having to park here for a few days it’s a good job it’s free because it’s a horrible spot , sun in your eyes all day and all you can hear is the waves crashing on the beach.
I’m only staying here because the baker is due in the morning and we need bread...........not sure why we left England lol

Forgot to say all that cheap booze from Gibraltar is giving me mega hangovers lol

Love these new old style houses. Looks like they were rebuilt using old bricks etc but kept to original design, the backs of them were original stone. In a village called Staveley in Peak District.

These houses are the original built in 1860 called Ebernezer Row on Porter Street, Staveley just outside Chesterfield. They didn’t have the little porch then. They were renovated in 2015

Thanks for that info. Really interesting.

Not sure what happened today but the tour has been kicked off the port some thing todo with the Tenerife owners arguing with the local mayor and port operators . 12 vans have moved on to the next destination but 4 vans myself including have had too much to drink so the port authority have moved us right into port amongst all the yachts into a position that I guess Motorhomes have never been aloud before so happy days . We will catch up with the group tomorrow maybe

That is lovely of you. I read morning funsters most days but can't keep up but love reading how everyone is getting on. I'm well and keeping myself busy. Hopefully get travelling again soon in our Eriba. Always on call to babysit grandson but at a bit of a crossroads at the moment. All the best to you and your daughter and beautiful granddaughter.:lips:

Well she never cut your heads off Joy.
It's the thought that counts, ;) and you thought she could take photos.
I bet the lunch was lovely. (y) Bob.
Morning Howard
As you enjoy the northern road, you should try and get up to the highest point of the island at the observatory. It takes you right along the edge of the Taburiente volcanic crater at about 3000 metres above sea level. The climb up the road, the LP4 is spectacular. The hairpins are so tight, the tour buses have to do 3 point turns to get round them with their back ends sticking over them a bit like the bus in the Italian Job! You climb through the banana plantations, then the rainforests, then the clouds and reach the lunar landscape that is the top. Spectacular views.
When you get to the south, try and get to the lighthouse on the southern tip. The road down takes you across the black lava flow from when the lower volcano erupted in 1973. The contrast between the black rock, green plantations, azure sea and white surf is amazing!
Think I'll get the job for the tourist office?:whistle:

Enjoy La Palma, we did!

Barry
Enjoyed reading that - we spent a week exploring part of La Palma a few years back. Recall driving to the summit, just as you have described. We stayed in the south and were impressed by the volcano that erupted in the 70s. Would like to return sometime. We're regular visitors to La Gomera, which is such a contrast to neighbouring Tenerife.

One of my favourite cars of all time, what does theplus 4 mean?
It’s just the model designation

The 4 wheeled so called “traditional” range starts with a 4/4, which is narrower bodied and was the first 4 wheeled Morgan, still being made today (albeit due to WLTP regs only for export). 4/4 stood for 4 cylinders and 4 wheels.

Then is the Plus 4, which is wider bodied than the 4/4 and has a bigger and more powerful engine ( mine has the 2 litre Ford unit).

After that it’s the Roadster, which is basically a Plus 4 with a 3.7 litre Ford V 6 engine as used in the Mustang shoe-horned in.

The Roadster replaced the Plus 8, which was the same as the Plus 4 but was fitted with the Buick derived Rover V8 engine, which eventually went out of production and was no longer available to Morgan to fit to their cars (Morgan have never made their own engines and have always been at the mercy of the engine suppliers)

There then the Aero Range, which is a different beast not something I know anything about, same as the 3 wheel range.

Bet you wish you’d never asked :whistle2::rofl:

What is the one that had 4 seats, albeit small ones in the back?
