A photo of the day thread

Working my way north after a couple of days with old friends near Draguignan. It has been the festival of musique on 21 June and either side. So I was at concerts at Figanières and Les Arcs sur Argens.

Sorry about the poor picture but people jus wandered through. This band came after the band I was "supporting" and I only have a rear view of them.
I last visited the Chemin de fer Vivarais in 2006. Much has changed in the intervening years. New terminus (totally new) but the locomotive on my train today No 403 has changed from green to black. She is a lovely Mallet type.

This evenings sunset was looking all mean and moody over our way.

Walking along the waterfront this morning at 06:00 and saw this . They are trying to get into the Guinness Book of records for the worlds longest hug . They had already done 25 hours and where going to do another 11 hours.
Along side this, they were raising money for Mind. People could join the hug in as well.
Considering they had already done 25 hours they were upbeat in mood and making jokes Wishing them the best of luck.
I went back later to take a photo as Laika the wonder dog loves running on the imported sand as the water was still out.

Our pitch for the night....
Mareuil-sur-Ay just along the canal from Epernay. Into Champagne country now. Decided to take a bit of shade today although there we're spaces on the open side of the Aire.
Free, water on tap, dump station, Space age WC where you get your feet wet if you linger.

Campercontact ref1341 In all the Aires as well.

UK owned VW camper in Spain. Very good condition with Lambretta scooter of similar age to go with it. Not very practical though. The lifting roof (not original concertina bit I think) has no vents so it is very hot inside and they have to sleep with the louvred windows open. These have no flyscreens but they say they have found a good fly spray. :) Very nice couple too.

I know you are "Extra Special" Mo, but even you could not walk on that lawn!!

It is a peculiar shade of green for water, which may be down to the canal being cut into chalk??

I wonder if this youngster knows it's different?

We see these Monsters most days here - we live in Marlborough NZ. The home of NZ Sauvignon Blanc.
