A trip to char mouth this weekend. Went fossil hunting but didn’t find anything.
The top car park is motor home friendly and is £3.00 for the day. Car park is locked at 9pm so no over night stays

I'll be sad to see this page finish after the next post, 'cos I just LOVE seeing @Mack100 's kestrel come up every time I open up this thread
Haha lovely, she's my special friend in the park, I swear she looks for me.
Last week she actually dropped down next to my feet to snatch a beetle out of the grass.

Here in Benicarlo now and it's a Spanish Bank Holiday again that's two this week
so enjoying the sunshine and heat (only 28 degrees today )
So out with the camera and found this Ruddy Darter

That is new to me @Madcaravanner ! Well not the dragonfly as I have been seeing a lot of them abroad but learning the name :-) Thank you, Janie (nee Darter)

A selection of snaps from our recent jaunt to Bodensee (aka Lake Konstanz, aka Lake Constance) on the German, Swiss and Austrian borders.

Forgive the self indulgence but I've limited it to 12 piccies.

View across the lake from the beach at Camping CAP Rotach (Friedrichshafen) towards Switzerland, complete with passing Zeppelin (not the great grandmother bombing type).

Broken Link Removed
The inevitable holiday sunset photo - let's admit it, we all do them. This time Friedrichshafen.

Broken Link Removed
Arty farty shot of a ferry's wake breaking on the lake shore at sunset.

Broken Link Removed
Cockpit of a vintage flying boat (not our MH cab) at the Dornier Aerospace Museum in Friedrichshafen. The button between the seats is the grey water dump valve.

Broken Link Removed
Full sized (non flammable) reconstruction of the Hindenburg's passenger section, which you can go inside. Zeppelin Museum, Friedrichshafen.

Broken Link Removed
Public arch/fountain in Konstanz - I just love this sculptor's (Peter Lenk) quirky style, clearly based on at least one caravan owner.

Broken Link Removed
A sunny Saturday on the waterfront at Konstanz - it seemed to lend itself to black and white. It took ages to get all the moving boats into the right places with a megaphone.

Broken Link Removed
Another arty farty shot - this time at Lindau.

Broken Link Removed
More Peter Lenk lunacy, across the lake at Meersburg.

Broken Link Removed
Reconstructed prehistoric lake dwellings at Pfahlbauten, neer Meersburg.

Broken Link Removed
Sculpted hands in the public park at Wasserburg.

Broken Link Removed
Me having a larf with more sculpted hands at Wasserburg. A wry comment on modern communications culture.

Th-th-th-th-th-that's all folks.
