I'm not a veggie. I love a joint of pork , with all the crackling. But I couldn't eat a deep fried piglet. Poor little thing. I know it's the same ... but nope.

It's not deep fried but slow cooked for a very long time. They bring it out on the platter and it's so tender they serve by parting the meat with two plates, no knives involved. When we were there the owner/chef proudly paraded round the restaurant wearing the chains and medals he had been awarded for the suckling pig.

We had a wander down to the Severn Valley Railway for a pint in the sunshine. How lucky are we to have this on our doorstep? We resisted the temptation to pop into any of the 9 pubs we pass on the way home

Think our paths must have just crossed somewhere. We're hoping to be at Avila Wednesday night after having a couple of nights at Trujillo about 70k south.
