One of our favourite places but don't follow the sat nav down the lovely cobbled street that leads to town/we had to move cafe chairs/tables/canopies to get down with an inch to spare each side!!

Sat eating some very nice fish n chips at The Dolphin at Sutton-on-sea .
Proper batter and mushy peas .
Been for a very long walk down the beach first to work up an appetite .
Heading back to Saltfleet for tonight's festivities ,once we've had a look for some seaside tat , to take back for the kids !

Looks lovely. I like the way they have supplied scissors to open the fiddly sauce packets!

We were out shopping this afternoon when SWMBO suggested that we go to Bradgate Park, just outside Leicester, for a walk in the sunshine. We had a nice time, although if I had known we were going I would have taken my proper camera with me. I had to take these with my 'phone camera.

It is a medieval deer park and there are still plenty of deer there now:

Bradgate House was where Lady Jane Grey (Queen of England for 9 days in the mid-16th century) was raised as a child:

There is some lovely scenery, especially by the River Lin:

There are pre-Cambrian rocks at the surface around Old John tower (visible on the skyline), with some of the oldest fossils in Western Europe. It was here that Sir David Attenborough, one of Leicester's most famous sons (along with his brother of course), developed his love of the natural world:

The small lakes are lovely as well:

A good time was had by all, rounded off with a fish supper!
