Not exactly today's photo-yesterday's!
This was sitting in a tree very close to the van all day yesterday we've heard the adult loads of times and I've seen one here before, we couldn't see another Owlett so think there's probably only one. It got fed later in the evening.
Not in view today, moved off for a different view, must be hard work tho as it can't fly yet, it has to walk/climb everywhere!

It's a very hard life sat in the shade eating lunch.
Mmmmm
We were going to have starters , instead of mains , as we are still quite full from breakfast .
But sod it .
The foods just too good .

Wow ... I knew they were ugly little beggars at that stage .. but thought they lived underwater. Great photo.

Dragonflies live under water and eat everything they can in a pond then they climb up a reed/grass stem and look like that before emerging beautiful, you can usually find the empty jackets still clinging to the stem!

Found a great little campsite, Les Peupliers on Lac d'Aiguebelette 73610. Its on the CC site and discount with ASCI. 2 star, quiet. nice beach, warm water for swimming. Make sure your fully stocked up with food supplies and the nearest shop is about three miles away and nothing on site.

Well , Ralph won't have gained a pound. But I'll have put at least half a stone on !
Thing is you get a drink in a bar and they bring fruit nuts crisps and Raki !
