Next a fisherman, he was winching the large sort of cage net aboard when I first saw him and I could see the fish flapping inside. Like a wally I just stood there watching then I thought I should take a photo. By the time had put some knickers on and got the camera the real action was over. I should have just grabbed the camera and taken a chance.

I am camped at the edge of Lac Leman, La Tour-de-Peilz, Montreux, CH. The large rock in the first picture is Pic de Memise.

Today we called at the creamery that makes cheese named after the dale. Lunch was posh cheese on toast followed by cheesecake. It just had to be doneView attachment 166461

Coypu on the Ile d'Oleron while we were having breakfast. A native of South America they escaped (plus deliberate releases) originally from fur farms and are now naturalised. They can do a lot of damage to waterways with their burrows. In size about the same as a youngish rabbit. Called a Ragondin in France.

Nooooo!While we were watching some swimming about in the river Aveyron last year a French motorhomer told us they make very good pate can't say I fancy trying it myself.
That's a useful idea, thank you. They eat Guinea Pigs in South America so presumably....... I must fire up the BBQ......Awwww like a cuddly guinea pig. Want one.![]()
