I made a real hero's entrance into that chicane in a GT40 a few years ago followed by a losers sideways drift on the exit. All caught on film which was subsequently tracked down and hopefully all copies have been deleted...![]()
Got told of because I was right up behind a GT3RS coming in to the corner, I overtook him on the pit straight lost him and then carried on for a few laps.
The track marshal pulled me over when I came in and said "you had a bit of a moment coming into the bend", see them flowers on the bank I have lost count of the times I have had to re-plant them due to people coming off there.
It didn't go down to well when I said why not just plant them somewhere else!!
He loves it and takes it to shows its on its way to a rally near Scunthorpe today all A30s I think! It is so tiny with a massive steering wheel !Gorgeous!!! Is your friend going to hire it out for movies, or just love it and drive it?
That was my first car in grey too....... It cost £50 ....... It got broken into the first week, through the little triangular window ....... then it stopped working properly and when the garage had a look at it, there was a cat (remains) wrapped round the engine ....Rob reliving his youth . His first car was an A30 in grey when he was 17 ! A friend had done this 62 year old beauty up.View attachment 162814

Shows how important it is to label photos - I'd assumed they were people painted and dressed up and standing still, and expecting passers-by to give them money for it!View attachment 162816 View attachment 162817 I'm at Andy63's today and took Dillon on to the beautiful sandy beach. Saw these sculptures on the walk back. Known as the conversations.

The collective noun for 2CVs is a "Scrapyard"Cycling in the Netherlands near Zeist we happened upon this group of 2CVs parked up. We wondered about the collective noun for this and decided it was a 'hilarity'.View attachment 162718
