The statue is Dr Alfred Salter who did so much for the poor of Bermondsey. That's Tower Bridge to the right, it's been foggy all day here.

Went to watch our son at the North Lakes 4x4 Christmas meet in a sand quarry at the base of the Pennines. It's a bit like geocaching, but the punch card must remain fixed to your vehicle and you have to get your vehicle as close as possible to the number punch to mark your card, some of the smaller off roaders had to use ramps or jacks to get their vehicles close enough to the punch. You can just see a red coloured ticket punch hanging from the tree branch and the punch card is tied to his mirror frame.

For 15 years I've been telling them that they can have a dog, just as soon as they have their own house.
How did this happen?

But as we live in 4,500 acres of forest, we thought we could rehome this blue-eyed hound in a better environment.
