Hi. We are working our way down, just past mazarron now, on beach parking, just bumped into time traveller on a walk this morning!
A couple of questions for your help please.
Is the bella vista site in Manilva?
Do you have the daily rate?
I don't have an up to date acsi card - is that a problem?
See you around 13th.

Hi Bella vista charged us €24 for the night we stayed there, they dont acknowledge acis

,when you get there ,you go past the site and round the circle and come back to it as it is on a dual carriageway ,

we were given these co.ordinates from a spanish couple , they stayed there a few times right on the beach ,

da calla de maro . Malaga , N36.7140 W4.30355

if you want to go into Malaga it is city bus no 160

hope this helps G n R:Smile:

We are at Bearswood CC site near Leeds Castle in Kent £15.90 for the night. Should be able to lig in tomorrow and have a leisurely breakfast, then walk the dog before completing the gruelling trip to Ashford (20 miles) and our mid afternoon Chunnel crossing.

Didn't fancy that M25 tomorrow when its first day back at work for many.

Stroke of luck the site closes tomorrow until March. Guess where the warden's going ----------

Tenerife just across from Agagdir - I told her we'd give her a wave

I need a sleep, didn't get much last night.. Excitement maybe..

Last cup of coffee and it's a 10.30am depature from Sunny Cannock...
If the roads dont have any issues then aiming for an earlier ferry and a meet up with the other "overlanders" Canopus and Marjohn at Calais this evening.. I think we are the last to leave...

Hope I have got everything...

AND WE'RE OFF........

Safe journey Steve & Irene.
Look forward to seeing you at La Bella Vista in a few weeks time.

Brisey.

Morning Moroccan Funster,

Tonka and I have done the best we can and reduced the 'La Bella Vista' from 26€ per night to 21€ per night – this charge is for our group on 11th/12th/13th Jan 2014 only. Includes showers, wifi and electrics. They also have great washing machines etc lol

See those who are meeting at ‘La Bella Vista’ soon.....it’s going to be FUN.

Like others we are on our way :driving2:

You're not the last Steve

Gwen and I don't leave the UK until wednesday. Currently at Lincoln after having some warranty work done. heading to Portsmouth tomorrow and ferry on Wednesday. Hope the Bay of Biscay calms down a bit.......:Eeek:

We're at Aranjuez, an €18 ACSI site just south of Madrid. Weather down to the France/Spain border was rough but the sun came out as we crossed (literally!) and it's been much better since - stopped over at Vitoria-Gasteiz on the aire last night.

Taking a day off here to relax a bit - just washed the van, it was filthy. We're now going to meander down, heading for Bella Vista for around 11th/12th. Look forward to meeting you all.

Terry (and Brenda)

pinkie possee update!

Yesterday afternoon we left el jadida via the coastal road, stopped at safi to view the pottery and ripped off for a tiny ashtray, but who cares?!! Arrived at essaouira 10pmish last night, I found the driving exhausting but at 30mph mostly it would be!!! Parked up in the car park 50 dirham for one night. I love this place, relaxed, bohemian, sunny. We are going to stay put for a while! Fabulous!

Advice Please:

As we full time in our MH we carry our mountain bikes on a rear mounted cycle carrier. Would they be more of a hinderance than useful if we were to take them with us across to Morocco ?

We think we may have found somewhere to leave them whilst we are away, so storage is not a problem.

Grateful for any advice from those that have been before

We did not enjoy cycling in Morocco last year - too many potholes, edges of the road crumbled away and mad drivers. so we have left the bikes at home this year.
However carol and Eddie said they enjoyed riding their bikes in Morocco. Carol will probably be along soon to say why.

Yes we have our bikes with us, used them quite a bit when we were there last, around Source Blue we did a lot of cycling, depends where you are, but hope we can use them again.

We took our bikes and used them occassionally whilst 'touring' Morocco and will be bringing them again. All depends on where you go and how long you stop.

Everywhere we travelled people tried to buy our bikes, so you can always sell them if you find no use for them. :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

We are still on villa sol and leaving in morning so should be around Bella vista on Friday or saterday

At the moment we are at Totana, in the morning we are leaving making our way to Cabopino by Marbella will be at Cabopino for Thursday, its about 30 mile from Bella Vista, but it is camping cheque so quite a bit cheaper.

We will be at Bella Vista for 13th ready for the adventure to begin.

you mention Marjal, we are on Marja,l the Costa Blanca one, seems to be plenty of space here at present time, the other Marjal was fully booked one week ago. 82220

Just a suggestion but if anyone going to Morocco has things ie bikes etc that you do not want to take over with you, you are more than welcome to leave them in my garage or house....

I live in Sotogrande so can drive down to pick anything up !!!

Its just a suggestion  The offer is there

I have been bad with a stomach bug for 5 days now can, keep food down or in :Rofl1:
, must have lost a stone , stomach sounds like a coffee perculator :Rofl1:

We have dioralit , imodium ,ibroprofen and amoxycilian but they had no effect .

The dutch people who own the campsite got me some me some

Sepcen 5000mg ( ciprofloxacine ) it costs 245.10 dirham for 10 tablets :Eeek £18, 85p

So if you can see any in spain buy some to carry round with you , it should be cheaper
than what it is here ,

Paul and Renarta run off road desert tours and always carry these tablets , :thumb:

Graham I hope its only 500mg of ciprofloxacine otherwise you might be taking to much , it does have reactions with other medicines to, I know you have to be careful if youre on some stomach protectors, and you have to be careful with kidney problems. Hope youre feeling much better by now. If you want a travel clinic in England to prescribe them for you on line its £35.00. So not to bad, but the best bet is to see a doctor in England, as they will know your history and prescribed them for you if okay.
