First time since I was young I had a date with a gorgeous man ... aka @haganap .... and I ate dodgy chips and couldn't go... :( ....

Spent the evening throwing up in the loo.. heartboken!

Sorry to hear that Joy - but I'm so glad I didn't pinch a chip when I saw you...
Pitched up mid afternoon, thought I'd have a little chill in the sunshine but Miss Kerry had other ideas, she wouldn't settle... so ended up walking into town, phew hot hot, so had a pint in the Dirty Duck & walked back. Fed dog, flaked out dog :D.
Time for a wander ?

Hi Steve .. we have had some lovely wanders .. quite a few little dawgies too... pop over to the Solos tomorrow .. we are usually outside Cal's van ... xx

Well we came and arrived on Thursday afternoon. Hoe refreshing to not be refused going late and still being able to go where we want, unlike the Warners rallies which have a strong hand in CONTROL. I just rang up the day before and they said great, just turn up and pay on the gate, same cost per night.
Semmsto be a lot more people here now than the forum listed. Most just came. The show is a lot bigger with a load of dealers here now compared with when I last came, still not that big compared but a better feeling to it. We are staying until the racing as Wifey likes horses.

Don't forget folks, it's the Stratford Rowing Club Regatta on the river today (I know, it's hardly likely to be on the road, is it? )

We'll see some of you down there. (y)

Jock & Rita. :)

Thought it was from the showground but must admit ......
Didn't get up to look

Greetings from Central Portugal everyone.

I hope all the Stratford Funsters have a superb and restful time...

...and please remember alcohol kills brain cells and they do not get replaced... ever.

"I DO NOT BELIEVE IT"

JJ
I

Funster musicians and dancers tonight
Did pop over but Kerry wasn't allowed in to show you her "moves" - so went over to listen to Max Miller's silly jokes & 'rock' with the "Stones"
Today's going to be another scorcher :sun:!

Might wander into town later & get a bit of culture... an open air version of 12th Night is being performed in the RSC park...
Kerry says;
Some are born great, others achieve greatness.” ...

Got the dogs barking and drones out for a better view. Very skilful.

Left at 8.30 this morning and a fantastic drive until I got to Preston on the M6!! Accident and motorway closed so came of at junction 32. Now stuck in nose to tail traffic about 12 miles from home. Good job I know the area as I will take a back road in a couple of miles ang go and visit a friend who has a pub! God knows what time I will get home - happy days, enjoy the rest of your stay folks.

So in town, so much the same, so much changed since I worked here 4 decades ago!
Luckily the Garrick hasn't changed, still dog friendly... Kerry was on her last legs... hot dog...

My excuse for a pint, or two (and I'm sticking to it).
Had a wander through the "craft" market... Chinese craftsmen methinks . To be fair, probably a couple of genuine artisans, a potter & an artist.
Bumped into @movan & @Carol whilst at my most handsome - lobster pink & dripping... think I pulled off the 'look'.

So now back at the van - feel as if I've been in sauna :hot:.
Although I could claim being in the Garrick was to be "cultural & historical" as its the oldest hostelry in town... after a bite to eat, I checked the house was still there... It was;

and then into the park for a bit of open air 12th Night...

Only managed the first half as one of us got a bit bored & one of us got a numb bum .

A big thanks to the marshalls, Dave, Polly, Brian and Pamelaar, you have worked very hard in extremely hot weather. Another fantastic fun rally thoroughly enjoyed. Also thanks to the musicians who entertained at night.

Let's hope next year the weather is as good.!!

To those departing Stratford upon Avon, we hope that you have enjoyed yourselves and wish you a safe journey home. To those remaining here for the horse racing on Tuesday, please do not discard your wristband as you may have to show it to gain access to the paddock enclosure.
Brisey, Pamelaaar, Polly and Dave.

Too hot......my excuse.....too lazy..can hear Mr Bubble tribute...naah

Anyway the red wine's just kicked in..
