Rally 10 Days at Stratford 2017

Left Stratford .. stopped off on way to destination ... from peace on Earth to f***ing machines and lorries ... :( horrible wake up call.

Thank you the marshalls, the singers, the band, @funflair re awning, all the females on the Rally for great company and God for the weather .. :) lovely week ... ha ha ha ha ha to all those who didn't come because we had floods last year... :) :) :)

Xx

Left at 8.30 this morning and a fantastic drive until I got to Preston on the M6!! Accident and motorway closed so came of at junction 32. Now stuck in nose to tail traffic about 12 miles from home. Good job I know the area as I will take a back road in a couple of miles ang go and visit a friend who has a pub! God knows what time I will get home - happy days, enjoy the rest of your stay folks.
I bet the driving in that heat must have been awful but at least I bet you had a nice cold drink when you arrived at the pub.Glad your home safe anyway.Enjoy Scotland.

Re the parking enquiry for Stratford town... The leisure centre car park doesn't allow vehicles over 2 tonnes!!
I would take two spaces anyway.
The overflow to the Rec car park has large, unmarked grass places, particularly against the fence line.

Sorry, but there is specific MH parking permitted at the rear of the Leisure Centre, along with Truck & Coach parking. 16.00 - 08.00 for £2.00. Other charges apply outside these hours.

Thank you to @Brisey and @toledo and partners for being great marshals, even in the incredible heat. I had a lovely time at Stratford, and met some new funsters, as well as old friends. Sorry, I didn't get to say goodbye in person, I had to leave the field before the racing started, and cut it a bit fine!!

Karen

We'll be heading home today, but not before saying a big thanks to @Brisey, Brian & Pam, and to @toledo, Dave & Polly, for their sterling efforts to meet, greet, site and pitch all the MHs and RVs here at Stratford, many of whom turned up at short notice, due to the unprecedented weather. (y)

Due to other holiday and travel committments, this may well be our last FUN meet this year. :( It was a smashing meet, and thanks to "all" who helped in "any way" to make it the success it was. (y)

Cheers for now,

Jock & Rita. :)

has been a fabulous meet here at stratford, people and weatherwise..
our marshalls deserve a medal for the hours they've put in sorting us all out in the scorching heat that had many of us flagging and wilting and yet they kept the cheery smiles up, well done you wonderful people..

Didn't see you or Daved ..Toni. glad you enjoyed yourselves. X

missed seeing you too sweetheart, we're still here by the way, not leaving until tomorrow, there's been so much to do it was impossible to get around to everyone, i did try but the rough ground was knocking the oooomph out of the scooter batteries and the sunshine and heat, although fabulous was totally exhausting..
and what with trips into stratford every day, visiting the theatre too, the entertainment here etc, there just weren't enough hours..

Know what you mean ... every year I leave Stratford with a list of ' well maybe I'll get round to it next year. ' favourite meet.

Correction .....................we'll see some of you at @funflair Martin & Jen's Meet at Shrewsbury in August. If the weather is half as nice as it has been at Stratford, it'll be a cracking week in another great location. (y)

Cheers,

Jock & Rita. :)

Home safe & sound, the Kerry Kamper did us proud on its first real outing. Managed to sleep well despite the heat. Had a good time, think K thoroughly enjoyed being made a fuss of...
Thanks of course to @Brisey & @toledo much appreciated.
Roll on Falkirk.
