Just booked our 1st trip to France in the Motorhome for September, I was trying to get a Physical Camping Carpark Card & have Downloaded the App which apparently gives me the Digital preference, my question is how do I get a Physical Card as that is what I would prefer, it doesn't seem to have anywhere on there to order & pay for one , thanks for any help Chris.

Used one for the first time in a while at Mont St Michel the other day. All done via the app. It generates an entry code. When leaving notify via app and it generates an exit code. Takes the money off your account. Did have to update my app before entry though. All very easy.

As others have said it’s al via the app now 🤷‍♂️

I don't think you can register a debit card, I tried years ago when applying for my card and had to register with a credit card.

Hopefully it will now. Looks like Debit Visa logo and Master card at the top of the screen. I have both but the only credit card I have is the old Halifax Clarity card and I would rather not use that. Ill try it when I have one of the cards handy.

We always use the Hx Clarity as everything is charged in euros. No fees.

Yes I used to as well and I still have an active one but the First direct debit card (Master card) and Chase debit card Visa are apparently just as good and no charges or build up of interest for cash withdrawals. Having all three should cover everything really.

Anyway the App accepted the First direct Debit (master card) and sent a confirmation to my bank which I accepted. The Camping Card app then promptly crashed when I returned to it but it looks like my payment details are saved.

I guess we will find out when I eventually use it.

Does anyone know if you still need to top it up? Can't see why now if its linked to a bank account?

A bit frustrating now someone else has put up a similar Thread...... Can't they both be put together to stop repeating 🙄 😒 🤔

We got our card the first time we used a camping carpark, from the machine at the entrance.
That was many years ago,so hopefully it’s still the same.
As already been said you cannot get a card any more but those with card already can still use them...we have. Register on the app, load with money, then when you turn up at the barrier open the app, get an activation code and enter it on the keypad on post, exiting I don't know, probably use same code.

I am currently sitting in our third CCP site. I, too, wanted a physical card. It's easy. Get to a site, ring the number on the white post and then ask for one. The man on the phone will sort it, and there is a card dispenser on the post that spits out a card. We think they are brilliant. Not had any problems with the three we have so far visited.
This was posted recently so looks like you can get a card 👍

The good news is it fixed itself, it's OK now.
The odd thing is that my start page doesn't look anything like the image you posted.
I can go to My Account but it doesn't have all the options you show.
I can get to Settings but it doesn't have a Language option.
Someone else said 'tap on the tricolour' - but I don't have any flags on my start screen either.
C'est la vie...

The latest version of the app is 200.2.4.
Check which version you have, you'll find it below the "log out" on your account page.
CCP have updated their app so many times recently, its hard to keep up!

I ordered a card couple of years ago preloaded with 30 euros. Never received the card and complaints were rebutted by the claim that it was "delivered to my address". The issue has never been fixed despite the evidence that the "card" has never been used.

Can you see the €30 in your account and is the address correct?

I don’t think they do the cards anymore it’s all done via the app now?
We got one on Wednesday-just rang the number on the machine and they produced it direct from the machine! You can then use it to scan the keypad.

If any machines still have cards in them then yes, you may still be able to get one, but my understanding is when they run out that’s it….app only.

Not all sites have the card machine. We've used a couple, and are in one now, and it only has the small bollard with the keypad on it, not the larger machine with the touch screen.

We have a card and use it, but have also used the code from the app and it all works fine either way (albeit the card is a bit easier).

Don't forget to note your code as well as some need you to use this for water at the service point.

A question. When looking at availability of pitches on the website some are in green and some in red. What’s the difference?I have no idea. I would assume green is definitely available so maybe red is booked but not taken taken…I could be way off. I have scoured the website but no answer.

It's a count down, 43 of 60 left.
0 of 60 all gone. Is how we have read and used it.
Mike.

I hadn’t noticed the different colours until today. For example Mont Saint Michel says 18/149 but the 18 is red yet St Germain sur Ay says 31/49 but the 31 is in green 🤷‍♀️

Yes. The first number is the number of pitches still available in real time; the second number is the total number of pitches on the site. As the availability decreases, the first number changes from green to red to emphasise the diminishing availability.

That makes sense. I think it’s new feature as I didn’t see it last time we went. 👍

My apologies, this site does have the large touch screen post, which is brand new, and does say on it that it dispenses cards.

I’ve just downloaded the CCP app. It says the lifetime ‘Digital Access’ is €5. I can’t find anywhere to pay for this. Is it just deducted from your balance when you add money to your account? Thanks in advance for any info! 😊

I suggest you create an account on the app and in the process it will ask you to register a card and after that it will probably ask for €5. When I joined they were using the access card and from memory you had to put in €20 in order to get the card. So I guess with their new system things have become cheaper which is an unusual event these days. :)

Thanks, I’ll try that. 😊

Yes I think before it was 1 nights camping plus €4 for the card.

When I registered the app it just asked me for a debit card so I put one of my UK ones in and it ran a check and said its all ok. I never loaded anything. I assume it will just take payment from that registered account?
