Your Beer of the week

Haven't had this for years, but ordered a couple of boxes mail order. Not all beers make the trip into bottles well, but this is pretty much how I remembered it 👍👍👍

Barnsley Bitter

I was drinking that on draught, in my local on Sunday. (y)

That is possibly my all time favourite bottled Ale from here in the UK. It is wonderful. (y)

I found this one in Lidl for £1.49, on the WIGIG shelves. It was under the Chocolate Stout shelf, which unfortunately was empty. :( It is very pleasant without being an overly roasted barley or bitter flavour, with a nice sweetness to it which I like. (y)

I am not a great lover of the hoppy IPAs, but when I do have them, it seems to be the American IPAs which I find quite palatable. This one ( I may have mentioned before), is one of them which I really do like, however I couldn't sink half a dozen of them. ;)

No, it was a new one on me Steve.

BTW, I turned up at Newark with bottles of your favourite Adnams Broadside, ready for the "Grand Tour". I've still got most of them left. Where were you? :whatthe:

Cheers,

Jock. ;)

Quaff away Jock, We’ll have a hefty supply anyway no doubt.🙈 Along with a few other samples in the world of ale. 2 x spoons in town too I’m led to believe 😎🙏

In France and had this yesterday in a perfect bar in Port Louis

Nice drop that. Even better is their celebration version…not seen that around for ages though. 🤔
"The bespoke English ale (4.8% ABV) will be available on draught at a selection of its pubs throughout Kent, London and the South East during the extended Jubilee bank holiday weekend (Thursday, 2 June – Sunday, 5 June)".

Looks like it was limited dates and locations.

We have just popped into Slovakia for 6 days R&R and I was drinking a lovely Pilsner (12%). Sorry cannot spell it. It was probably Czech rather than Slovak as most beers were before Czechoslovakia split. I think it was £3.00 0.5lt

Just the job after a mountain walk.

12%!!! Blimey!

I ration my exposure to strong beers nowadays so was delighted to find a low alcohol beer that still tastes like beer (although light) Double the benefit £1 for 4 cans from Sainsburys.

Only Monday but The Reverend James was a good start for my BoW
A welsh beer for my stay at Cambrian Cruisers CL
Corr, not had that for a long while, and to be honest, the name had drifted away. I remember that being a lovely pint. Thanks for the reminder.😎👍🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Currently staying at Brecon. The local pub had this, Black Dragon 7.2 abv. A bit strong for me. I settled on something I couldn't pronounce and it was good.

Timothy Taylors Landlord
Yep, Landlord is a decent pint yy
Fullers HSB for me.
Anther decent pint yy
But If HSB is on then typically ESB is on and that’s my fave Fulers beer. Which used to be London Pride.
Though Pride is often available around the world. Well, airports bars 🤔
