hi everyone

hope your all having a nice weekend

Ok here’s my question, i’ve a tag axel Fiat based motorhome do FWD.

If i wanted to fit cross climate tyres do I just need them on the front driving wheels or has all 6 tyres got to be changed.

Also if fitted on the front do I then need to have snow socks and/or chains onboard to cross into Spain from France.

cheers everyone

Al 👍

Theoretically yes

Practically prob not, just a winter tyre with tread that goes both ways would do (I forgot the proper word)🤷🏼‍♂️
No, one tyre is good for left or right, you just need to fit it properly - they have an arrow on them to indicate the direction of travel.

Stolen or fake - a bit too cheap with no reasons/justification and the account has low feedback and nothing visible.
Sometimes bargains can be had, old stock, wrong size bought, but not 10x of each with a low quality advert

I'd pay very close attention to the tyres, logos printed etc.

Good luck!

I paid £215 per tyre fitted for those tyres after months of watching the prices. Only difference being I got the 118 load rated version but in exactly the same size.
Seem too cheap to me.

I too, hope you get them and they're the genuine article.

He's re-listed the same tyres with more than 10 available and up to 26 can be purchased via the quantity drop-down box. No private seller has this many tyres available. Caveat emptor

update:

the seller has called me this afternoon, they are being shipped on wednesday for thursday delivery and he assures me 100% they are 100% genuine and purchased direct from Michelin.

I've got his personal mobile no. as well, he asked me to save it to let him know if there are any issues.

Also he said if anyone wants any tyres, although lets see if these turn up first, he says to get in touch with me and he'll sort us all out.

He hopefully gave me the full back story and tbh up to now i'm tending to believe him so fingers crossed all comes good.

He can only ship in 2's and i'm after a spare so if anyone wants a pair and a spare please lmk so we can order 4

I had a set of Michelin all weather tyres fitted by our local branch of ATS last year on a deal, with a spare. Although directional, I was told if the spare was facing the wrong way, it would be ok to get us home with care.

All well and good till they’re on a rim, it will only rotate the right way on one side👍

Well he would say that!
But I can't believe there is that much mark up for a "random" buyer/seller - else my local would be able to compete with BlackCircles - but instead can't but are happy to fit.

I hope we're just cynical but I'd really look into fakes and tell tale signs.

I've only got all season on my front axle at present , wasn't changing 6 tyres at once. I know the legal requirements for tyres etc throughout parts of Europe but have to say I've not had any issues the last 5 years spending winter in Europe. I do try to avoid snow though. I did carry a set of chains with me the last few years but they didn't fit the new van so I don't have those either. If the rears have worn down a fair bit by next autumn I'll get the 4 rear changed to all season too.
