Winter in Spain anyone?

We walked to the Arenal last night in Javea.

Seemed to be a lot of Motorhomes circling the old non official Parking area On private land, near to the Wok, must of been using old App/web data.

But on the Arenal, there were a lot of mixed nationalities not sporting a mask.

We went to Tosca for dinner. Handed Hand gel at the door, soles/heels of shoes sprayed and temperature checked.

Weather Has been good, if a little cooler than past years. I problem, especially since the fires. Being a little Higher up. When the wind blows, it blows. Whilst down near the sea, there can be barely a breeze.

State of Alarm Issued in Spain Sunday 25/10/20

Might now be difficult traversing Spain from France or Portugal? This quote from a Spanish newspaper:

The Spanish government has declared a new state of alarm, which comes into effect immediately. The cabinet met on Sunday morning to approve a measure that will be more limited in its scope than the state of alarm that was declared in March and then lifted in June.

The new measure is not a return to the conditions of confinement (lockdown) that applied in March. But confinement is a feature in that a nighttime curfew will be applied, except in the Canary Islands, where epidemiological data are more positive than elsewhere in the country. A majority of Spain's regions (seventeen plus the two north African autonomous cities) had asked for the legal means to be able to implement such a curfew ahead of Sunday's cabinet meeting.

As well as the curfew, the decree will restrict mobility in that movement between regions will be prohibited except for justifiable reasons. This will be subject to regional decisions; there can be complete closure of regional borders or partial.

The decree passed on Sunday will be in force for fifteen days and will then have to get Congress backing in order that the state of alarm can run until May 9 (longer than was previously reported). The government is seeking to avoid the situation that existed in the spring when it had to return to Congress every fortnight and gain approval for extensions to the previous state of alarm. In this regard, the government wants to follow the lead of France and Italy, where similar mechanisms apply for several months at a time. The conditions of the state of alarm will, however, be reviewed by the government every fortnight.

Stay safe everyone.

Yes but the travel into & out of any region has been left to the regions themselves . It had been asked for by regions surrounding Madrid who wanted it before to prevent them entering but were unable to do so due to the law, Now they can.
It means that some will restrict travel from regions that have high rates whilst other regions won't be doing it. It will be the usual shambles.

Is that a separate part of the Area Narejos site Julie? I've noticed it before but didn't realise you could stand there? Is it for long-termers only or something?

That is one of our favourite stopovers - the restaurant is OK, was there in September this year again.
Hi yes we love it here too. The town has got everything we need and friends here too.
It’s all part of the same company, they are hoping to build on it. At the moment they are not offering it to other campers but in normal busy times they do. The toilet block isn’t open over here as they’ve had to lay off their cleaners and the reception staff are cleaning. Very efficiently I might add.

I noticed some of their business had gone over to the other aire under the solar station, but we like the restaurant and bar right at the entrance and they are nice people running it.

Having Aldi on the way in is fantastic too lol.

They have an association with a caravan accessories shop too, lat year I ordered a replacement rotary clothes drier and some lol blue and the lady had it brought to the aire for me.

Result👍

Just booked Portsmouth Caen 20th February returning 8th May. Driving down thru France, via the house in Morbihan, which has been abandoned since C19 wave 2 struck. Deliberately coming back before the 90 days in 180 so they won't give me hassle when I return to France in June.

I recon to have been vacc'd and Spain & France should be over the 3rd wave by mid-Feb.

Surely the Feb to may and then the June return is potentially outside the 90 in 180 days,at approx 76 days then you only have 14 days for June?,your 180 day period will be from Feb 20th to mid August. Unless you see this another way?

Unless he lives in France as primary residence of course.

I'm using a different 5th dimensional mathematics differential calculated with vectoring dynamics. It works on the basis that no single trip exceeds 90 days. Hence the flics can't work out how many days I've been in Schengen as long as there is an indeterminate number of days I wasn't in Schengen in any cross dimensional period.

Well good luck with that strategy! It's enough to confuse anyone, just maybe not a computer?

Best of luck in your travels across the galaxy.👍
May the force be with you.

I've got a Carte d'Sejour... I'm theoretically ok in France it's just Spain. But there's so much confusion I doubt anyone anyone can work it out provided you don't simply arrive and stay over 90 days in one lump.

Despite my best efforts, my flux capacitor couldn't cope with it either and found this Schengen Calculator to be much the easiest way. Just put in the dates for all your trips and it lets you know if they work.

not required dear sir. You need to fill in an "attestation" to say you are visiting your house, even a second home, to carry out important safety checks and turning off water for winter, for example, is acceptable. But, you must travel the most direct route.

No problem up to 90 days in any other eu state as long as a resident in one. Then pop next door , reset the clock same as before & off you go again.

If you have a Carte de Sejour and so a permanent resident you just need the standard attestation

Thanks for the calculator Pete5996, very useful.

As we know the system is based on a 90 day maximum during a (looking back) rolling 180 day period.

For a bit of fun and considering a traveller resident in the UK, I entered the entry and exit date mentioned above by Augusta08 i.e. 20 February to 8 May, this is 78 days.

The next allowable entry date is 7 August which is 168 days from 20 February. With this example the traveller would have to leave by 4 November.

If the traveller initially stayed the full 90 days then the next allowable entry date would be 19 August (180 days from 20 February). In this case the traveller would have to leave by 16 November.

These examples are relatively straightforward but we plan to spend time in countries such as Turkey to hopefully extend the time spent abroad during the warmer months and without the calculator dipping in and out of the EU a few times could get rather complex!

No your next allowable entry date would be 9th of may as you have not used up your 90 days in 180

Technically yes, I clearly made an assumption that the traveller wouldn’t return for up to 12 days after having only just left.
