Where does your forum name come from?

Partly my youtube and van name plus house number. Changed a few years back when I had to think of something on the spur of the moment when my old namesake got himself sent down and I couldn't be a***d with explaining the name to inquisitive newcomers.

In a previous job I had to name all our servers in the it dept. All identifiable place names in one of our local areas, and since it was my task to do this I picked my favourite places. The number comes from boarding school days when we were all identified by a number. Add the two and the personal ID becomes unique. Now I'm long retired, but all my it hardware is named along the same lines. The logo can be identified also from a place near Arnside if you know where to look.

My now wife joined us both up 5/6 years ago so used her name Tina plus second name initial "L" for Louise, so named the Avatar TinaL, As its me that mostly posts on here, I assumed the "L" was an abbreviation of my name Les.
But it wasn't apparently, she always gets in 1st, and I know my place, its a much quieter life that way, resistance is futile!
But I always sign out with my name in Bold Capitals, just to make my point and let you all know I am still alive.;)

As I’m a computer geek I wanted something from that.

It’s pronounced I-Squared-C and it’s a computer protocol I use for talking to bits of hardware, I did warn you I’m a computer geek 😅

Russell is our van's name. Named after my better half's Uncle, who had a lust for life, adventure and travel. We bought our first van a couple of months after he died and named it in his honour. His widow loved to hear of our Russell's travels and adventures (sadly she has now lost her marbles a bit) . We are now on Russell V3.0.

Where I worked there were 4 people in the office with the same forename, where my wife worked there were 3 people in her office with the same forename so we were known collectively by a shortened version of our surname, which is also how our son is known, we were AC/DC originally but there was an AC/DC Dave so we changed it.

Ambilkate
Am for Amanda , Bil for the old man lol and Kate for me .
We were driving through a village called Ambilcote it gave us the idea for Ambilkate as we needed a name for joining up on here many years ago . 🤗👍

Ran away to sea when I was a teenager and later, worked/bummed all over Europe driving Trucks and Coaches and have lived in places from Australia to Sweden. Now exploring the UK AGAIN!

I'll never be monetary rich or experience poor and Jim will not let me be just 'Hobo' hence....

Well here goes popcorn ready and comfortable, then I’ll begin lol
Lived in Ireland on farm in middle of 10 acres, and had 4 chickens for over 3 years and quite tame too, anyway my brother in law was visiting and we needed a chest of draws for his clothes and his wife’s so went and bought a flatpack chest of drawers, but putting together as usual not enough screws so went to town to get some more, on arrival back at house the chickens were scrunging about as usual in. Yard and normally get outbid the way but this time one did not and I run it over :-(
At the same time as my brother in law came out the front door and he said Ho look a flatpackchicken!!!!!!!! So there you have it Funsters probably the best name you’ll ever know but at least no one forgets the name of Flatpackchicken!!!!!!!!!
