Where did you turn the corner and go "Wow!"

Quote from Mrs Emmit motorhoming around the South Island,
"Wouldn't a Tea Room around here be a good idea"

I gently pointed out that we hadn't seen another vehicle in the last hour. Who would be the customers?

😂

I couldn’t believe the lack of traffic when we were there.

If we saw more than two cars together it was rush hour 😂

Absolute bliss 👍

I suppose this is small fry when comparing it to your posts but Walking along the wall and turning into the square at Pizza and seeing the leaning Tower of Pizza. How that tower stands up is amazing

I think I must say it a lot!! On Friday when I saw a white tailed eagle circling Beinn Alligin, yesterday when I was watching OH and son driving the safety boat for Loch Carron sailing club and a seal decided to do party tricks between the shore and the boats, today when we walked past Applecross to Milltown and saw the beautiful mill pond, then again drove home to Alligin and there was a rainbow over Shieldaig ... I’m easily pleased 😀

I would love to use the Moho in Iceland.
We spent around 5 days there and used the local travel company to “see the sights”
What is really good about having your own moho there is that you can go where you like and as far as you like (but not on the 4x4 F roads) and not just where you are taken. After the expensive ferry fare most prices are ok so the longer you stay the better value it is. Lots of motorhomes and campervans go on the ferry. Why not research it?

Thanks, we think so. She only stopped coming with us in the motorhome to the south of France when she was 98 !

The Autoroute Blanche to Chamonix, exiting the tunnel on to the spectacular Nantua viaduct. The most spectacular views all along this autoroute, culminating in the glistening snows and glaciers of Mont Blanc.
we rode that road when all our holidays was on a motorbike, I will never forget the wife saying Oh shit as we exited the tunnel

I love the Pont du Normandie, first time we crossed it was on an Africa Twin, and you think the first bridge is a 'decent one, then you actually see the N face of the Eiger and realise Oh sheet, but it's too late cos you are 100% committed by then. It is simply fab. Millau is well, pretty flat, really.

I agree that Rocamadour is disappointing, as is Cordes sur Ciel though worth doing when Le Petit Train is running cos you can appreciate the walls properly from the outside whilst sitting down LOL Not ever so far from Rocamadour though is the Gouffre de Padirac and that IS worth visiting!

We did one holiday where we navigated by Grottes and even had dinner one evening in the Hotel du Grotte at Lascaux. Think the place was built at a similar date to the cave being painted, but the food was OK anyway!

Well I hope that wasn’t because you insisted on her sleeping on the top bunk or over cab bed. 😱🤣🤣🤣. Bless her, another wow from me 👍
