Where are the Funsters?

Well, we arrived at Lake Pareloup, in the Ayeron, late yesterday afternoon and parked up in the aire, a former municipal camping. There is an access barrier bit for €13 per 24 hours, you get water at your pitch, 6amp leccy and stunning views of the lake itself. There are showers and toilets and, whilst the showers are all old and not too appealing, they are clean and there was masses of warm water for washing up and showering. I know lots of you do these things in the van but if they’re available, I like to use them.

Lovely swim in the lake. Then today, we did the 90 miles to Marseillan Plage to find that just about every space in every campsite is booked solid! So we’re parked up in the aire in the town which is quite full and will stay here overnight. €12 per night including 5 minutes access to water and all the charm of a funeral parlour waiting room one can take🤣
Tomorrow we’ve booked into a campsite for two nights until a space becomes available in our preferred site from Thursday for one week. So tonight, a fish supper of some description and early to bed. What a difference one month makes. Last year we came here in October and we could have any pitch we wanted. Most of the eateries and shops were closed. Getting bread was problematic. Now everything is bursting at the seams.
Anyway, some pictures of the lake.

Been on a site in Beaulieu sur Dordogne since Tuesday. Unusually, there seem to be more UK vans than French and Dutch. Walking round, I haven’t seen a single MHF badge.
Met a couple from Barnsley (Kev and Kath) who don’t seem to be Funsters.

Where are you all? 🤔
Was there, right by the river, in mid June during the heatwave moving around the MH to get some shade.

We are sat at the side of the Shannon near Carrick on Shannon, the weather is variable, rain and Sun plus strong winds but we are sheltered from it so should have a better night's sleep than last night. I thought the roof lights would blow away.
No other Funster's seen as yet

Since my last post we've been here ... authorised motorhome parking but no services. In the Parque Natural Babia y Luna.

And we are now here, in Asturias. Motorhome parking with all services (fresh water is paid for).

We were in isolated splendour, not so now. We seem to be a magnet for others 🤣🤣. Loads of room here, but they've all lined up alongside us.

Very nice indeed here at Camping Solicio. Even better when we bought a litre bottle of Aperol for 11 euros. Our third lake stop on the trip.
Been there two years ago. Nice, well maintained camping with a good restaurant on site.

We have been camped in a friends garden near Duras for a few days, currently on aire at Coutras, heading for Twin Lakes later. But, we are incognito, haven't got around to getting a fun sticker for this van yet.
