Replaced the drivers electric window mechanism

1. Fixed BOTH my electric adjustable mirrors
2. Stuck the 12v 3 way socket back up with new double sided tape
3. Pulled the knackered recessed 12v light out above the Hab door and ordered a new one.

Fitted Gas struts to my bed frame, makes lifting the frame to get into the storage even easier and they stay up until I am ready to close again.

Some cupdoor fixings etc have been coming loose, screw keeps turning round in hole. Ive inserted some inset fixings into towel holder and door, which had dropped off, should do the job

Since we bought or van two years ago we’ve been merrily driving around with the gas on as the previous owners had given us a hand over guide which said we were fitted with a crash sensor ,no! On finally realising that was not the case I’ve fitted a Truma duo sensor

The yellow gas isolator is for an outside gas point I fitted at the same time

No. Some refillable bottles have burst/leakage protection valves but this only protects the system as far as the regulator, not beyond it in a crash. To protect the system from the regulator onwards you must have a crash regulator.

The system must have 2 devices one for burst protection before the regulator and the other a crash regulator for after it. If the gas bottle does not have a built in burst protection valve you can buy a pigtail hose with a rupture protection device on it. It is no good having one or the other you need both.

Yes the newer Gaslow cylinders fitted with the Rotarex multivalve do have a built in excess flow valve.
As already posted by Pausim the protection of the high pressure side is only one part of the required system to operate the gas whilst travelling, the second part cuts off the low pressure gas supply in the event of an accident normally incorporated in the regulator known as Drive safe , Crash safe etc , sometimes it’s an electronic control ecu that operates a solenoid gas shut off.

I wouldn’t say added as both parts of the system are required to safely operate the gas whilst travelling.
So it’s either the cylinder / tank that has a built in excess flow valve or the high pressure gas hose (pigtail) is the rupture protection type that incorporates an excess flow valve in conjunction with the crash safe regulator.

Wouldn't call it a fix but been on the todo list for a while now. We got the motorhome Ceramic Coated and it's really came up amazing like a glass finish. Got a mobile guy who came highly recommended (central Scotland), does lots of caravans and motorhomes, took him more or less 7 hours to do the whole vehicle including roof with a 7 year protection.

It was on the road last weekend and the rain a surface water just ran off it, less than 5 mins to run a cloth over it and sparkling again.

RV step.motor stopped working.
Currently under doctors orders not to do any manual work or get cuts and grazes so a local chap was found that is a full time carer for his wife and is a great DIY man, especially the odd old motorbike, as he can't travel far from home and has to be flexible for her treatment regime.
Removed whole motor with my instructions and the gearbox.
Problem found by me - carbonised bushes and dirty connectors on main shaft - after 23 years not surprised!

Then hit the snag - how to put spring loaded bushes back in and slide motor shaft - the permanent magnets are at the far end of motor and as you slide everything down the shaft jumps up towards the magnets and the bushes spring out!

Grantham Electrical in Peterborough were my saviours !!!!
The MD no less said he likes a challenge and made a change to their normal industry heavy duty work. One hour later he had it back together for me.and refused payment (he knows I am ill, off work for a while).
Couldn't have that so supplied a week's worth of biscuits for the shop floor.
Local DIY chap fitted for me again and spotted a loose wire from controller - replaced and all good!

Some good people still out there and a bit of good karma my way.

Not a major repair or so I thought but the paint on the Fiamma dead lock was pealing off.
Getting the lock off proved to be a challenge. The Philips head screws had been in there since the motorhome was new. Two came out with a fight, one snapped and one needed mole grips to get it out.
Not wanting to buy paint specifically I had a dig in the shed and found three rattle cans of white paint. None will match the color of the motorhome or the cab but it looks better than pealing paint.

I have to sort out the fresh water drain on the 175. The bracket broke off over a speed hump (yes we went slowly) as we approached Pegasus Bridge last week.

I shouldn't be too incredulous but Elddis used two 1/2" self tappers to hold the bracket to the frame of the van. When I say two I mean one. I have yet to get under it to check the grey drain!

The pipe and bracket, with worn way tap handle, are currently bungeed up underneath.

Does any Elddis expert know what bore, 28mm?, the tap is?

I gave mine a good clean with a shower cleaner, then a thorough dry, before a wipe with white spirits, then another thorough dry, before a light roughing, a dusting and apply the paint. Sounds a lot, but prep took minutes. I allowed at least 24 hours between coats.

It was brushed on only, 2 coats and left 24 hours between each coat.
