Can you post the new horn details please. I hate having road rage without suitable audible devices, just need it to be louder than my passenger ....

Has anyone changed the windscreen washer pump on a 2.3 multijet, 2008. Mine seems to have packed up.

Never done it but I believe:-
1/ Jack up front offside and remove roadwheel. Place axle stands for safety
2/ Clean all the sh..t off the protector shield and find a couple of screws
3/ Undo the screws, trying not to drop them down a drain
4/ When you get back from A & E remove the shield
5/ Have a good look around for the pump
6/ When you can't find it have a good swear at me, put it all back
7/ and ask someone else............... :swear2::swear2::swear2:

Sorry, feeling a bit devilish this afternoon!

I have very big hands, but managed to change one on a previous van without dismantling. It pushes into the front of the fluid reservoir and is sealed by a rubber seal. 5 minute job that takes 30

Loads of stuff to do. It's always the same after we come back from overwintering in Morocco/Spain for 4 months. None of the work required is a show stopper, just fair wear and tear IMO. So, jobs done this week include, new replacement habitation window cassette due to fly screen failure on old one. Replacing wheel cap, thanks to southern part of M25 knocking one off due to gaps in road, taking bits its off in preparation for adding 2nd Solar panel to roof. Re-sealing bathroom seals around washbasin and fixing decorative splash boards. Cleaning, washing carpets etc and polishing. Ordering new camping seats as old ones well and truly bandjaxed. Next week, will be clearing out all the storage cupboards, cleaning and re- stocking for next adventure, Fitting solar panel to roof and connecting to batteries, check battery levels and see how the levels have been affected after a little bit of hammering. leaning Fridge flue and the backend of the fridge, probably got a fair it of desert in there and checking out why my Thetford oven fan no longer works, probably bandjaxed too. On the 22nd I have my Webasto heater looked at as it has developed a fault.

Scraped out all the silicone and sealant from the rooflights and join between the rear fibreglass panel and the roof. Applied Sikaflex 521

Replaced the sump and sump gasket.

It had a slight weep that needed a new gasket, and boy was the sump corroded.

Blood and swearing make a job easier. I thought everyone knew this.

checking out why my Thetford oven fan no longer works

Ours stopped working along with the igniter. Ours has a dedicated fuse on the fuse board and it had blown. Replaced the fuse which immediately blew. Using a dentist type mirror and a torch I could see the fault to be the cabling had no slack and was routed behind the cooker over a sharp edge which had worked it's way though the cable insulation and shorted. Managed to get some insulation tape around the offending area of the cable and slid a piece of "L" shaped plastic corner edging I had between the sharp edge and cable. Popped a fresh fuse in and igniter and fan working again.

Just bought two electric bikes thus adding a further 8kg to the Fiamma bike rack but still well within the 55kg limit.
Decided to beef up the mounting points. Both the top points are concealed inside the overhead cupboards so used some 3mm stainless steel sheet offcuts to spread the load.
Cut to 200mm x 30mm and used the supplied spreader plate as a template to drill two holes.
Mounted the SS plate on the 2 bolts and then the existing spreader plate and screwed nylok nuts back up.
Should spread the load a bit now.

Ordered a new gas strut for the fixed lift up bed. One of them failed just as we went away so accessing the storage space underneath has been a two person job. Those beds are heavy. Hope I've ordered the correct item, there's a lot of permutations. Used SGS.

Not fixed yet. Would like some advice. The grab rail on the door of my Bessacarr e350 snapped off (because I was swinging on it). I have a replacement but when I went to remove the bolts on the old one, they just spun round and round without loosening. They are Allen key fittings. I took the seat belt panel off to see if I could get behind the fixtures but it is a tight squeeze and cannot really see how to do it. Any ideas?

Got a new temperature sensor for the Alde heating. A permanent reading of -5°C did not make for a cool van

Not on the van, but i am lay here in a hospital bed at quarter to 5 recovering fom total knee replacement. As i didnt do it and it isnt in the van, does it still count???
