Are you taking Ralph & the carpets to get whipped? :D

I do it for him, the shop will do the carpets :sneaky:

Took the sliding table out of our Frankia, never really used it and found it a pain really. Now we have more room to lounge (y) there's enough storage around the van inside and out to store a fold away table if required:)

Rob:cheers:

House stuff
ADSL line inside the house went dead ( still no idea why.. No breaks no nothing, just died )
Went and got new cabling and plugs.. then had a think about it.. Moved the router to the main incoming line socket, fired up a WiFi extender in the back of the house, and fitted a WiFi board in the main computer upstairs.. Job done and no cabling to do !

Fixed the sticking toilet seat hinges too ( see thread security in the weirdest place .. Broken Link Removed )

Friend gave me a Clarke electric logsplitter that had been sat in his garage for 7 years as it had stopped working. Couple of hours and 4 new 'o' rings later, bingo ! Managed to split that pile in an hour and a half, quite impressed with the splitter. It's a 5 ton unit and there were only 3 crotched bits it wouldn't split.

Microwave packed up this morning wife told me to get a new one. Took old one apart traced fault to a component on circuit board, replaced part for 10 pence. All working fine now. Wife will have to try harder to get a new one next time.

Yup.. Two years ago the klystron went phut in ours.. Replacement was £9.60 inc post...
It was actually cheaper than the ruddy timing thing ( which so far has not gone phut but I thought I would mention it LOL !! )

Finished putting up a 15 glass panel sliding door in the Kitchen, just got the pelmet to fix on now.
Glad it's over, 3 COATS VARNISH, both sides of the door, 15 panels x 4 cut ins ea = 60 x the two sides = 120 x 3 coats = 360 cut ins :hi5:

Fixed all the weeds that had popped up since being away from Portugal with my flamethrower!! That got the buggers.

I've been up my trees again! Giving the conifers at the end of our garden a good hacking so they're now about 3 foot shorter! Still got a bit to finish off but decided to leave that until another nice day comes round ... it will make it easier to trim them in the future though and I had to do it before my hand op which will be sometime soon ... but it ruddy hurts now! :(

Hi @Ralph-n-Bev could you tell me the local carpet shop as I'm wanting some new carpets Did they just do the edging or did they make them up from templates?

Thanks Dave.

We made template, well ralph did, we bought ours from the carpet mill east ardsley. Then it was sent to be whip stitched. £1 a yard. So not cheap. Especially if you get a decent carpet as well. I know that the big town carpet places do the same service too.

Well done @movan . Can you fix my electric kettle. pretty please.

I just fixed a dirty van and made it all clean again, better get it in the shed pronto before the weather changes.

:( when is the op?
Tomorrow .... o_O ... gotta be there at 8.00 am! Fortunately it's only 5 mins down the road so not far to go ... but I am NOT looking forward to it as I remember how painful it was afterwards when I had the other one done ... :( at least I can amuse myself by watching them do it ... its fascinating! :)

Although they found I do have osteoarthritus it's Carpal tunnel I'm having the op for - I had the right one done in October 2015:
