what did you fix today

Panels look interesting are they recycled or new. Looking to clad timber frame extension with similar. Any info appreciated.

They are 14mm GRP/Ply/GRP sandwich, new, and available up to 8metre lengths and other thicknesses.

The Mercedes has a sheet of 17mm of the same material going on the floor to replace the old floor with Unwin tracking and subframe.

Page 98 onwards, CPR Panolit sheets.

Ours come from their Nottingham depot on free delivery.

If you want to spend more money, the GRP/Polyester/GRP honeycomb is much lighter, impervious to water but costs about double.

Checked Mo for any more leaks from the skylight, totally dry thankfully. Sealed the toilet skylight with sikaflex just in case. Put the motor back in and all the internals ready for Shrewsbury meet for New Year.

Fitted the new circuit board to the furnace so now working perfectly and looking forward to a toastie, hot new year stay in the rv

I fixed the "Kitchen Design Consultant!" who put a 450mm Cabinet in a spot that was only 425mm, so 25mm overhung a window, not only that he tried to place a 335mm wide cabinet over a 300mm door to form a right angle corner unit! and thought we could still open the door!

The gentleman has been suitablely "chastened"

After a long, cold day in the yard, we got the roof sheet cut out and fitted.

Work included getting the front bay area reinforced at the top, as there is not equivalent to the floor to stiiffen it, but it all got done, we finished about 17.30, my shoulders and legs were killing me!

Out in the road with the roof sheet unrolled, Rita looking on:

It rained heavily last night and there are a few unsealed joints, but it should be pretty good now.

Solar panels to go up on there yet, so we are not finished with the stepladder!

Monday Morning

Here's a few pictures from this morning, we turned the trailer round last night so we had better access to the side door.

Philip sealed up most of the corner joints etc last night so we should be pretty water-tight now.

Lots of work to get done inside, but at least it's dry and with a small heater, quite warm.

2 X 100W solar panels are going up on the roof, plus 2 X 110AH batteries and an MPPT solar controller.

look's like a grate project (y)

Fixed Talktalk - order of the boot, going back to BT:)

Shock horror in a Hymer!
Discovered the GRP moulding above the windscreen was not insulated - well it is now, 40 quids worth of DODO Liner and a few hours labour. Not quite as easy as I thought it woud be due to all the curves, the panel goes right down behind the mouldings to the top of the screen.

New Solar regulator, pleased it didn't get pulled by customs so didn't have to pay duty & VAT.

New satellite receiver, opened TV and took power from inside so it switches on when I turn TV on.
Before anyone comments sound outputs are cross intentionaly so sound is correct when we view from swiveled cab seats.

Not fixed, but had Gaslow fitted yesterday. Two 11kg bottles with s/steel pipes and autochanger.
Also outside filler.
Well pleased with it,no more lugging bottles about. And gives us more scope going in Europe!

Turn buckle fitted to drawer. No more flying crockery when out and about and only took a minute or so. If I attempted to actually sort out the drawer catch the air would be blue as it is in an awkward position. £3 well spent.

@Lenny HB how do you use the remote on the Icecrypt? I mounted mine in top of tv but does not look as good.
Didn't use it, even though the receiver window points towards the floor, I point the controller towards the roof and it works OK.

Hot weather must have arrived, the fan came on a couple of nights ago, I had the fridge covers on because it had been cold and then it warmed up.
I know we're in France but only down from Cherbourg

Sounds like you need to adjust the settings, temp set will vary on each installation, I set my controller so fans come on when ambient temp is 25 in my case the setting on my controller is 35 deg.
