What are you up to this weekend?

We survived ed our first trip in our motorhome Buster...

Everything worked well, the weather gods kind, the Beauty Terrorist and Indy the Dog enjoyed themselves.

We stayed at Field Barn Park on the outskirts of Bourton on the Water - lovely small and friendly site, spotlessly clean.

Also learnt not to trust Sat navs when the suggest certain routes...

We had a great time!!

Definitely hooked.

Looking forward to seeing funsters at shepton mallet .

The start of our first longish trip. Off to Spain/Portugal on Sunday, coming back end of October. If we are still speaking to each other at the end of the trip will start planning for a longer trip in the spring. Really looking forward to it, just have the rest of the week to learn Spanish!

Well, I'm off to run a marathon with a difference this weekend.

Im off to the sunny climbs of the Bordeaux region of france by airplane.

It's marathon de medoc time for me, a 26 mile run around the wine houses of Medoc in fancy dress with all the water stops replaced by Wine. can't wait.... its called the worlds longest marathon,,,

:-)

Up at Busfest the biggest VW van show in Europe more than 8000 vans, 300+ trade stands, music, for sale area, funfair, craft fair, food, beer, all weekend at the three counties showground Malvern.
Used to be called vanfest in my days .....think.the record was 11000 one year ....before it got so commercialised it's now more about money than the vans.

Todas os dias são o fim de semana para mim...

I'm not sure that's a good thing. I still like to rest on weekends and do any chores/DIY in the week. It was something my late father said which put me on to this - "You don't even have the weekends to look forward to any more."

Hubby using the MH for a vintage motocross event, whilst I sadly am on taxi duty. I shall be taking the daughter back to Uni in Nottingham!!!!!!

I seriously do not agree DBK!

I am certain it is a good thing.

I'm not really arguing! but it takes a mindset to adapt to a life away from the daily grind. I retired a few years ago but pootled with a little business and a bit of consultancy afterwards. Now I am truly retired and don't even have any grass to cut.
Off to Spain on Sunday then to Portugal. Yippee!
Edit : Portugal looks wet next week. Bit of a downer, but should still be warm.

Good Grief, is that a typical weekend? Well done if it is. We still have to get to the Lost Gardens of Legoland despite them be not much more than hour away!

Rugby again for me. Our first home game and a Help for Heroes fundraising day. Apart from touch rugby, 1st team and vets games weather permitting these guys are going to fly past

Sunday is the Under 15s 1st game of the season so that's the weekend done again.

Saturday we're off on a Grand Tour of China and Hong Kong for two weeks, then we're off on a 'proper' holiday in the MH to Tuscany in Northern Italy - can't wait!!!!
