The fireworks on Thursday at Dawlish Warren were a great start to the weekend followed by the Red Arrows and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Crab fishing off the Red Rock is a big favourite with the boys. Great to meet Suggy and Rose there.
Very nice looking motorhome. Think off all the things extra Pauline can take on holiday. Is that a wok on the roof?

Different day for me not out in the van but did a car boot sale with the daughter, had a laugh though.

Like the new van Pauline & Mike. (y)

Osprey sailing at Burnham on Crouch. As usual, camp Osprey set up in the area behind the dinghy park and everyone having a great time.

Hit a car boot on Saturday at Amble then spent the night at Peebles, a small car boot and then a larger one on Sunday where hubby was early in tear as he couldn't buy all the bargains he saw as we wouldn't have had any where to sleep! Stopped at a little road at Shandon just north of Helensburg on the side of Gare Loch.

Today we've travelled up the A814 along the side of Loch Long up to Arrochar which was very, very nice - the road is fairly narrow in places and undulates which we found fun but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with a large MH with a big overhang as the driver could get a bit fraught!!!

We stopped at 'Rest and be Thankful' for the view and whilst there were asked to do a survey for the Forestry Commission and the lady asked what could be done to 'improve' our enjoyment so I made suggestions about having official motorhome overnight parking places, rather than us having to be 'naughty' and use those that say no overnighting/camping with a picture of a caravan and a tent with red lines through them. As she has a friend who is new to motorhoming who has made similar comments, and she said she'd pass them on. I also mentioned this site for her friend, called Sue I think, so hopefully she'll come and say hi (wish I has some more of the little info card to give away!)

Tonight we're at the ferry port at Pontavadie watching the ferry come and go for Tarbert.

Went to visit BIL for the weekend in Marlborough and went to the Uffington and White Horse Fayre yesterday, weather was fine, fantastic displays (and saved £3 per ticket getting in as OAP's, although they didn't believe my age), brilliant day out

Stayed the weekend in Teddington with friends, great night Saturday in an Italian restaurant, not laughed so much for a while. First off I ordered three beers thinking I was ordering for the three males, couldn't understand what was so funny until I found that the puffs had already ordered Campari and soda for themselves. I got a bit of a look from the waitress when she was finding space on the table for my three beers. :)

This weekend we're off to the East Kent CC rally at Faversham for the hop festival

Off to Uphill Marina near Weston Super Mare, first outing without the grandkids. This is a geat location for a walk into Weston and a choice of two Wetherspoons:rolleyes:. Good also for twitchers on the Axe estury and walking the start of the Mendip hills. Just hope that the tide is in this weekend.:D

Saw my sis and tried for Whitbyish and Robinhoods bayish, Bank holiday mayhem, A64 York to Malton - 2 Hours. Gave up and diverted to a sweet wee spot, Staithes. But I can understand why everyone wants to live in Scotland there is no fun queuing up to scratch your own a..e (trying not to be rude, for the prudes). If it hadn't been for sis I would have gone to Oban, no reason why! or needed.

:france:We're off to France tomorrow evening , straight after darling daughter's (DD) hospital appointment. Heading to the aire at Watten for our first night, about 1/2 hour from the tunnel. DD is coming with us as she hasn't had a holiday for a while and we took pity on her - how good are we? ::bigsmile:
