Heading to France tomorrow for three weeks.

We are already on Plan G, the previous ones modified for various reasons, Plan F abandoned due to adverse weather forecast.

However, in about 40 years we have never ended up where we set out to go, too many interesting diversions en route.

Onwards and upwards! Although South is downwards on the map.🤔

We don't do weekends - always Mon - Thurs. Just back from South Shields - we usually use the £4 a night car park on the sea front (when the weather is warmer) but as our heating system still isn't working off ehu, we stayed on the excellent Sandhaven site, just across the prom from the car park.
The weather on Wednesday night - the precursor to Storm Babel - was something else! Fortunately, it didn't manifest itself until 01:00 Thursday morning, and had blown itself out by 08:00.

Were just leaving in the van to spend a weekend in Oxford, catch up with my Mum and wander around that great city. How are you spending this weekend? Doing anything nice?
Sadly nothing in the van as it is back with the dealer having some issues fixed. Really miss it and being able to get away if the mood takes us. Hoping for good weather so I can get the remaining begonias and geraniums dug up!

Working again Friday, Saturday and Sunday delivering mail, notes, drugs, and food to various hospitals in the Nottinghamshire trusts for the NHS.
But then I get Mon to Thursday off, then repeat.
On Saturday 19th October, one of our Hospital Porters is participating in a boxing tournament under the banner of Ultimate White Collar Boxing at a local leisure centre in the late afternoon/ early evening.
It is a full and legalised boxing tournament under strict boxing regulations and is a " black tie" event, but more importantly, it is a charity fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Nurses, with tickets starting at £25 a pop, and ALL monies raised going to support that charity.
Most of the team who I work with have tickets and we are all going along to support him.
3 x 2 minute rounds, and he is boxing in the Super Heavyweight category and has been in serious training for the last 6 months.
(Ex Royal Marine and a big lad ) :giggle:
Should be a very enjoyable event.

Where in Norfolk is quiet? Serious question as every time we’ve been the sky is full of military aircraft. We now go to Suffolk.
Good choice, far quieter and better behaved folk in Suffolk (even the incomers). 😆
