What are you up to this weekend?

It's arrived! I'll be replacing the offside wing mirror indicator lens.

Mk8 Transit owners be aware, there are two types... Cat 5 has two pins which the bulb housing pushes onto. CAT 6 has a twist fit bulb housing similar to a household bayonet fitting.

We’re off tomorrow and heading for the Peterborough/Rutland Waters area for a 4 day break. Although the weather is predicted to be cool and wet and it’s not the European tour planned it will be great to just to get behind the wheel again, turn right out the drive and live the dream.

Enjoying my garden and riverside in west Wales, thinking of all the miles people travel from the smoke to enjoy something like this.

Just got back from Chagstock music festival in the van. Cracking couple of days and even parked next to another Kingham!

I was away camping at a local music festival. A lovely couple of nights of good company, good music, good food and the chance to read a book. Left all my 'tech' at home except my phone for keeping in touch with family.

In 2 hours we will go to that posh Oxford place for a wedding reception in a place called Yarnton. The wedding was last year but because of the 19 the reception was put on hold. Being held in his garden as it's big. BBQ company hire to do grub. Big marquee erected and an Irish Band will be playing the jig music. Should be a giggle with all those paddy's.
Staying over at Premier Inn Cowley as my mates house is full of paddy's that have come over from Ireland for the gig/jig.

Just finished replacing the laminate flooring in Cedrick the citroen for vinyl non slip flooring. All furniture back in and sealed. Fitted isolation switches from leisure battery to habitation fuse box now to refit 5 internal doors oh joy. On a brighter note the van looks lighter inside as laminate was dark brown plank effect.
Did you find the laminate flooring was too slippery for you, or for dogs?
Did you butt it up to the units, or did you leave an expansion gap?
I'm considering putting some in my motorhome, but now not so sure...

you always have to leave an expansion gap as it "breathes" . Laminate isn't a good thing what with the condensation etc, sure you could use bathroom stuff but good quality floor vinyl is a better choice.

Not weekend as i suspect it will be persisting down looking at the forecast.

So today a good long ride on my bike (with engine) around North Wales. First stop will be Bala for lunch on/near the lake.
Then onto LLynclys via a very country road, then who knows where on the way to Shrewsbury then home in time for early sundowners.
Suspect about 250 miles.
No

Not weekend but in arf an hour off to Woodstock for a couple of nights (hotel) not been for decades. Have a toddle around, have a look at Churchills grave in Bladon blah blah yawn yawn. Wont go in that big house across the road.

Spent a few happy hours in the Woodstock Arms :giggle::giggle::giggle:

On Sunday off to Deers Glade for a few days, familiar territory but it’s chilling and away from the four walls and jobs to do.

We are at Shuttleworth for the Flying Circus Airshow this weekend. It took us eight hours to get here yesterday including a lunch break.
When we got to Colsterworth the A1 south bound stopped. After a bit of shuffling we pulled in for a toilet break and lunch. When started again it was busy until the black cat roundabout then it eased off a bit. I can only assume it was Friday peak season and staycation traffic.
There is a classic car show tomorrow so we will have a look at that before we move to Suffolk.
