At Slimbridge Wetland Centre: amazing! A bit busy, but that’s the weekend for you.
A midweek visit would be even better.
That said, the look on the faces of young kids was great.
Never seen so many ducks geese flamingoes etc

Returned from overnighting in the motorhome at Perth airport to participate in summer solstice flying. Took 10-year old granddaughter flying between 22:06 (sunset) and 22:36 (last time to legally fly without a night rating). Takeoff after the sun had set then climb towards the west to see the sun rising in the west!!! Remember not to be late returning to terra firma.

Three or so hours sleep, then back into the plane for an 03:52 takeoff (30 minutes before sunrise) along with 5 other assorted aircraft to fly around the Fife coast as the sun was rising. Bacon butties at 6am, then feel tired for the rest of a long day - which involved a further two and a half hours flying visiting events down in Englandshire.

Packing up on Sunday after after six weeks in Torre del Mar then spending a month travelling northwards towards the tunnel and home.

Falkirk wheel hugely impressive to lift boats from lower canal to upper using the power of 8 kettles allegedly.

What am I doing this weekend?

I'm going to wear my £2.99 crocs from ALDI and slob out in our garden. Shuffling here, shuffling there!

At 1600 hrs I shall more than likely crack a can, maybe even go as far as screwing the neck off a stone cold NZ Sauvignon Blanc , or an Argentinian Soave maybe.

decisionsdecisions! Bloody 'ell, life could become complicated if you let it! :hi5:

Never known it so hot! Walked about 30 yards to Elson point, emptied cassette, walked back ... just looked in mirror and shoulders burnt! Rest of day was spent relaxing in shade drinking coffee or juice, crocheting, nodding off and thinking about going to SOMEWHERE ... ANYWHERE with a beach tomorrow ... craving for the sand and sea and envying you all .. hopefully will be posting shoreline pictures instead of this. :) (it's a pigeon).

Off to be a volunteer at the Abergavenny Arts Festival this weekend. It’s not far so no motorhoming, drawing or crocheting this weekend. Dentist Monday, who knows Tuesday. Have a great weekend wherever you are.
In-laws are near Royan in France where it’s 48 degrees. Now that’s too hot for me!

The odd man out here, the only Motorhome on site! Great morning though, must think about breakfast soon or the passengers will get restless. Nothing but a walk to the pub planned for today, as the kids say, chillaxing!
