Today bit of grocery shopping, then off to work to collect my bike that’s been stranded since Hubert The Defender landed, ready for this afternoon shift as a duty rider for servwessex.org

I'm sitting in my Motorhome writing a letter to Santa. So far I've written

Dear Santa
Please define 'good'

Xx

Well apart from a day off due to overdoing the job and got back pain so much I was incapacitated

but now the Summer House is almost complete - I have finished the doors and got them painted will be hanging them tomorrow hopefully they meet correctly first time

But taking everything slowly so I don't hurt myself again

Sad to say we are on the last leg of our fantastic week away, left home by train last Saturday boarded the Edinburgh train from Euston, that went really well arriving at Waverley station on time. Short walk to pick up our hire car spoilt myself a bit but I had a lot of driving to do so it was worth it. I had booked a hotel for Saturday night in Edinburgh which was brilliant, the city was full to capacity with revelers.

Sunday we left Edinburgh around lunch time for Fort William where I had booked a hotel for two nights which was excellent, I really like that part of Scotland and the weather was good to us so did a bit of walking and a bit of driving.

We left FW on Tuesday headed south across the Trossachs national park, I find that one of the best drives in the UK, it was blessed with snow which made it even more beautiful than usual. We crossed the Erskine bridge and onto the motorway down to Windermere where I had booked another hotel for two nights, what more can I say about the lakes, fantastic as always.

Left our Lakes retreat after breakfast this morning during a rain storm heading for Suffolk where we are now just south of Lowestoft, hotel booked for two nights giving us time to visiting my sister in Norwich and call in on some friends in Suffolk. Dropping the Car off in Watford on Monday then back to getting ready for Christmas.
What a great week it has been.....:xThumb:

Had my first Christmas dinner of 2018 on Saturday lovely it was too, it took five hours from start to finish, a few glasses of wine and some traditional dishes with the chef's own edge on how it was cooked and presented. Started with butternut Squash chilli and coconut milk soup which was spicy and delicious. Turkey with all sorts of lovelies including pureed turnips, sprouts cooked in pine nuts etc etc
I will be contributing to the cooking of our Christmas dinner on the 25 so might just try copy some of these dishes.:xThumb:.
