What are you up to this weekend?

Paddling, paddling and more paddling

Heading to a small lake in N.Yorkshire tomorrow morning for my first kayak rolling clinic, then straight across the A66 for a run up to SW Scotland for a few days, before a return to Garlieston later next week, followed by a couple of weeks at Arisaig and Oban.

Fettling the van and girding my loins for taking 4 grandchildren 4-14 away next week.

Saturday at 18:20 we will in the Chunnel and away for three weeks. (y)(y) Sooo looking forward to getting away. But to where? - Who knows, we don't

Going to Broadstairs with the CAMC East Kent Centre for the folk festival. Forecast not too bad for the weekend. As long as it isn't as bad as today should be a good weekend.

Tonight at West Stockwith , a nice meal and real ale from the micro brewery at the White Hart . Then tomorrow off to the Saltfleet gala

Stayed with friends last night, I was nominated barbeque cook. Went really well all cooked to perfection. Fish, chops, burgers, sausages roast veg etc. Really nice, my only hiccup was my lovely lady was a little merry and knocked her glass of wine into my plate. My chops were doing the breast stroke and I didn't know if it was wine or beetroot juice. I was brought up not to waste food so finished it even if it did resemble sherry trifle. Great night...(y)

My wife does that sort of thing.

She knocked a pint of orange and lemonade all over my trousers when I first met her Mum and Dad.

This led to her Mum and one of her friends dabbing at my crotch area with cloths while on their hands and knees.

I was mortified.

We're going to another CAMC rally at Wateringbury for the weekend. Nice place as long as the weather is OK, lovely walk along the river. Couple of pubs within walking distance too!

Off to France on Tuesday for a month - may travel to Belgium & Germany too but nothing's set in stone!

Loading up the van before setting off to Malvern Show, couldn't get a place in The Funster coral this time, so joining in with the Carthago owners club. Really excited about going to Malvern for the first time, I hear its a great place, and the show is one of the good ones also.
Have a great weekend folks where ever you go.
