What are you up to this weekend?

Off to St Davids with the van tomorrow (so avoid west Wales if you are looking for sun or even dry weather!!). Back home for the next weekend so we can take the Midget and the Spider out for "Drive It" day on Sunday.

Thanks Bev that looks amazing. For some unknown reason I have not visited the Yorkshire dales yet but it is now on my places to visit list....(y)
Here's an album we did on here a couple of years ago on the same trip and walk. Beautiful place , lovely views . You've got to visit.
Click the arrow top right to go through them all. There's Janet's foss, gordale scar and Malhamdale on there too.

That roast beef has made my mouth water.......:)

I wouldn't like to think I was taking a big one up there . We never took ours .
We went plenty times camping and have been in Pug.
See the pics on the link that's the campsite.
It's very basic :Eeek:
You'd want to use your own facilities....... even if you usually like traipsing over to a washroom in your dressing gown for a shower. Malcom the farmer isn't known for his cleaning should I say.
He very kindly leaves used toothbrushes, flannels and shower scrunchies for you to borrow , which people have left or forgotten.

But it's in a beautiful setting. So it's worth it.
We are used to just using basic sites where we have water and waste and nothing else .

The campsite in Malhamdale has better facilities/showers etc it's called Town End farm.
If we stop there we do the walk the other way round . Starting at the bottom of Malham Cove , up the steps across to Gordale Scar , to Janet's Foss then back to Malhamdale.

I'm dropping Little Wife off at the airport on Thursday morning for her bi-annual visit to the UK. Then back home and into the camper for a few days peace and quiet, and fishing. I'll be heading down to Lot and Aveyron to fish the rivers which should be in good fettle now that the floods have receded.

It will be my first trip in the new van and also the first without my old dog who used to accompany me on all these fishing trips. It will be strange being on my own. Initially the cat used to come too and I had to keep returning to the old van every few hours to take her out for a walk. One night in March a few years back we were parked up in Marans when the temperature dropped to minus 4C overnight and I'd forgotten to turn the Truma heating on. :X3: When I woke up in the morning there was ice on the inside of the widows. The cat wasn't best pleased! :D

It should be a bit warmer this time around.

Off to Cardiff for the weekend. It was that or Peterborough show. How lucky are we with the terrific forecast :sun::drinks:

We're off to Peterborough, not to the show though although that was the original plan - we're a bit van-ned out having clambered in and out at various shows and dealers and now we want to wait until we go up to Scotland in June as we're checking out the East Neuk Fifer L then.
So we're having a 2 night break in a nice hotel and then pottering round Cambridge on Saturday and driving round the area a bit on Sunday before fetching the dogs from the kennels (they're having a 2 night break to try new kennels out before they have another holiday there when we're in Scotland).
We're going in the Mustang, although we use it with the dogs as well, those bucket seats come in handy for 2 small dogs

Just booked Ocknell new forest for friday and saturday nights.:)

Off tomorrow to Holly Bush Caravan/motorhome park (near Taunton) to see family then up to Glastonbury on Saturday for a few days! :)

No idea what we are doing yet, nice weekend ahead so is it Peterborough show 1hr away, Southend-on-sea 1hr away Brighton 1hr away or Suffolk 2hrs away or maybe none of the above.
Other possibilities are Goring on Thames 1hr away, I would like to see the home where George Michael lived and died and the area is also really nice to spend the day.
Any other ideas welcome...?

We're going to Sissinghurst Cricket Club with London DA. It's a great place to rally when the weather's good, especially if there's cricket on!

Road trip to Gutersloh... currently in Friday traffic in Antwerp. Deep joy.

Hmm research for Funsters on Twin Lakes rally so
visit Jonzac to swimming and Spa complex
Visit a distillery near Blaye
prepare to visit Bordeaux using park and ride

Just returned from a day at Llandulas beach, North Wales

Didnt spot the sign, 10inches by 5 inches mounted at 10feet above ground (really) forbidding motorhomes even stopping in the car park

Car park room for 50 vehicles
There were 35 empty spaces
£70 parking ticket attached on our return

Bordeaux is a lovely city to visit. As you say park and ride is the way to go. You can park out at Merignac near to the airport and take the bus in or stop overnight in the camp site in the Quartier Lac and get the tram into the city.

Leaving on a jet plane; Spain for a long weekend
