What are you up to this weekend?

Well, that didn't workout quiet as expected. Thought I should take the Motor Home for a spin as its been parked up on the front for almost three months. Lovely sunny day, pleasant drive round the country lanes. Came back, its filthy. It now needs a dam good clean. Should have just left it where it was. So this weekend I will be giving the MH a good clean.

Fixing electric built in double oven, it has 5 yes 5 heating elements!! Middle one in main oven blown, checked everything else whilst back off, all OK. Have now got to wait 3-5 days from Monday for new element to arrive from AEG. Rip off price for spares and accessories as is usual.
Still, hopefully saved me over a grand for a new replacement, as I think most would have opted for. Trouble is when you have an appliance like this striped down you cannot help going over the top in cleaning and polishing it,to try and get it back as new.
Thank god we have a Remoska Oven or should it be described more accurately as a top heated pot!
Only had it a short while and being trying various meals out, all great when you get your head around how it works with no heat adjustment, just on, or off, at 190 degrees, but will be handy in van.
Need a cup of Tea now, cheers everyone, have a great weekend.

You can choose your friends but not your family
....as I know too well :xlaugh:
I am Very much Looking forward to Christmas Day with Ralph and our 3 grown up kids and their partners, plus Ralph’s mum.
I love it and really look forward to getting everyone around the table.
I’ve done Christmas at home for us , since we’ve been together , that’s 26 years now. Love it.
Today I’ve boiled the ham in coke then basted it in the oven with honey and coarse grain mustard. We’re having turkey and all the trimmings , pigs in blankets , and loads of veg too. Home made turkey and parsnip soup or prawn cocktail for starters, and xmas pud with brandy butter , brandy custard or , salted caramel sponge pudding , or strawberry’s and cream meringue for pud. Or a bit of everything.
Then mixed cheese platter . Irish coffees on the day etc etc etc.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Boxing Day, we are waving goodbye , as the kids, bar Isaac who works for a Ralph are back at work Tuesday.
We are going to The White Hart at Bouth in Ulverstone in Pug , in the Lake District, before going up to Moffat to celebrate Hogmanay.
Back home 5th January.
Can’t wait.
I’ll post pics, as it would be rude not to !
Merry Christmas Funsters and a Happy Healthy New Year xxxx
