Welsh camp sites to close from Friday

But you have to still follow the rules for the Tier in which you live, even if you are visiting a lower tier region. The 2.3% mortality is an average. For over 75s it is 12%

All the age groups are for 10 years except the over 75+. Let us say that covers 75-105, so that is for 30 years.

That group needs more detailed ananlysis.

Just to be clear, i'm in tier 2 so I can go anywhere except wales, and given the utter shambles the government is making of this whole pandemic I don't believe anything they say about the number of cases in any given area
  • You can stay at hotels or guest accommodation, inside or outside your area, but only with people in your household or support bubble.
  • The Welsh government has banned all travel from your area to Wales, except for a limited set of reasons such as going to school or work.

I'm assuming you're over 75 , so you can afford to self isolate ?

If you're at a higher risk just stay in , if you don't come into contact with anyone you won't catch it.

You're very unlikely to catch it on a camp site or a shop , I'm not a denier , I believe it's out there I'm just not going to let it control my life , until it's illegal I'm playing my part in keeping the economy going.

No I'm not over 75 and I'm not shielding, I was merely pointing out the arrogance of your comment.
And, do you know how many people if any have caught it on a campsite or in a shop??

as I wear a mask in a shop (along with most of the rest of the country) and a campsite is outdoors I’d think it very low compared to public transport or a place of worship both which are open but I’d be happy for you to provide the figures.

CV19 does divide opinions , I only know one couple that have definitely had it , both recovered , they caught it either in Portugal or on the flight , amazingly you can still fly for leisure.

I know quite a lot if people (>25) that have had it
All recovered, but suffered from Bad Flu to bugger all
Everything in between

GB never got elected to PM, he inherited it and clung on by his finger tips for as long as he could at which point he called one of his electorate a bigot

Both GB, TM & MD were promoted/inherited to Prime (First) minister between elections

TM later 'won' one as PM

Who are we actually protecting? The average age of death via Covid is 82. So our economy, our youths prospects and almost everybody’s mental health must suffer.
Logic, self preservation and common sense have all gone out of the window.
I am 66. I keep a distance from everyone- especially students. I am prepared to risk my health for my family - especially my Grandchildren. I am always washing/sanitising my hands. If I travel into your area I am not being irresponsible- stay away from me and I will certainly stay away from you.
I could go on and on but I would not like to be aged 15 to 30 right now.

So me travelling from tier 2 in Nottingham, to a customer of our companies in tier 3 in Aberystwyth, Wales, some 150 plus miles, for work, is OK then.?
By the way, my company have insisted it's ok And, I can stay away overnight in a Hotel, to return the next day through Wales, back home to Nottingham.
Suffice to say, I am in dispute presently over this, and I can see this getting nasty and legal.

Sounds like you need a new job to me , you don't seem to be enjoying this one very much

I am a self employed sales agent and travel the UK. I will travel through Wales to my customers in - say - Neath or Narbeth. I will be self isolated whilst in my Campervan. I will visit my customer masked and sanitised. I will return to my self isolated Campervan drive to my next appointment or race out of Wales after sanitising myself. What’s the problem.

I can't do it in my motorhome.
Not insured for a start for business use, and secondly, not practical for me.
Plus I am employed, and with that I must use the equipment provided by the company
for their health and safety compliance.
If they want to buy me a motorhome, we'll that's a different kettle of fish!

Whats my point , you're worried about travelling from an area with 3066 new cases to an area with 163

You're allowed to travel for work so I don't see how you can go legal as you put it with your company

Ever crossed your mind that as I live in a higher level of infection and am travelling to a lower level, that I might be spreading it.?
I seriously hope I am not.
My point is that I believe any company should take into consideration the fears and concerns of their workforce, and not just apply the JFDI approach and sod the consequences.
Just saying like.
Stay safe.
Oh, and the job can be done very successfully via the telephone from home.

Sorry, not going into that on here.
Too complicated and you don't work for my company, or know of our circumstances.

My guess is the Welsh police will have difficulty in preventing unauthorised access to Wales.
But you can be sure they will target campervans and motorhomes as they cross the border.
It may take some explaining ?

I know someone who lives in chester and works in Wales just over the border, he got stopped a few times during the actual lockdown in march/April when the roads were empty

It wasn’t just on the border. We had plenty of random checks in Gwynedd

Know doubt you will be in tier 3 shortly and unless you are responsible you might well be passing it on to other areas. Use some common sense maybe.

Whoever took the decision to close ALL the hospital s should be very ashamed.

ALL the hospitals closed ? none are closed in this area with very few Covid patients , in fact have been at near zero until recently with normal service continuing.

I'm not passing it on because I haven't got it , like 95% of the population
As I've said many times I'm complying with the law

My wife has had an antibody test , she hasn't had it either

This is what I need explaining , people are being put into poverty , expected to live on 2/3 of minimum wage , hospitals aren't diagnosing or treating life threatening illnesses in the young, businesses closing down on a daily basis ,many never to reopen, the government handing out £billions to be paid back at some point no doubt by us because 128 people under 68 with underlying health conditions and 6 between 68-100 died over 6 days

If your job can't be done from Nottingham and you want to be paid i expect the company will need you to travel to the customers premises to earn the cash.
