Well that’s my five month holiday gone for a burton,

I noticed a few people had said that is their fear in traveling on a European trip, but I think you have more chance of someone hitting you in the UK than aboard, in 2023 after a long trip around Europe, the young person that hit me on the way home once in the UK, said he didn't see me? A bloody big A-class, told him he was a danger on the road, but every time we drive in the UK, we see more dangerous driving than in Europe, could be we are more careful when in Europe, but I don't think so.

Given what happened to your last van, I'd be inclined to fit a towbar and a builders rear step as added protection.

My tow bar didn’t stop the guy on the last one, he went straight over the top into the garage,
With the new one I will be driving considerably faster so hopefully they won’t be able to catch up😁

ivorantony, that old girl did you well, and all credit to your determination and skills in your field repairs enabling you to return home. Great that NFU came good and settled what has enabled you to buy the Malibu. I’m sure we will see you sharing many more less eventful trips together.

I’m delighted having followed you within hours of that first post but delighted that you have quickly managed to get yourself sorted with wheels.

Safe travels going forward. You deserve an award in how you handled it at the time and actually probably learnt a lot by doing it all.

Congratulations to you and NFU too in their help
