Well that’s my five month holiday gone for a burton,

I’m sooo glad your both home safely and having followed all your adventure with awe and inspiration I’m very glad to see you parked up safely at home - there will always be other vans, other holidays but you two can’t be replaced - huge respect 🫡

I was with Caravan Guard whe. I got mine smashed up...They wrote it off and claimed every penny back off the German who collided with me..Payed me out in full very quickly..Kept my NCB and have never been penalised...BUSBY

Glad to hear you are safely home. good luck with the insurers.

Just out of interest, is it not 'normal' practice for your insurers to offer a replacement vehicle (motor in this instance) if your is off the road in a situation like this, whence awaiting repairs and/or protracted settlement.

I must admit I have not checked my insurance T&C's (AXA) and not given it much thought previously.

I suppose this may be more of an issue if the van was your main/only form of transport, especially if living in it or even if you had future holidays booked, reliant upon it.

Glad your back safely, good luck with the insurance now. I think that will be the hardest part. 👍

Right there is one of the fears that travels with us when we do our European trips :whatthe: - Bloody scary to see it

So happy that no injuries to you folks. Absolutely gutted for your trip ending so soon, i just hope it can be a delay rather than cancelled if you get money/van purchased/sorted 🤞

No Glenmci I wasn’t, …..I was on the N/S lane doing 90 kph with not another car in sight when suddenly massive acceleration catapulting me to the outside lane next to the clash barrier,
Manage to steer my van with the other car firmly wedged in my rear ( very painful)
back to the small hard shoulder,
It must have been frightening as these things happen so fast. If you were doing 90 kph what speed was he doing to do that much damage. I hope you get it all sorted without too much stress. Wishing you well Glen

Really sad to see her go, so many fantastic memories that she took us too and returning us
Safely back to the uk,

The NFU gave us the current market value of a similar vehicle so can't complain there,
So decided to downsize mainly because the Boss decided she loved this and it will be easier for her to drive than another A class,

Well done and good luck to you both. I’m so glad it’s been sorted after a relatively short time for an insurance company. It’s been quite an ordeal for you. I remember your first posts and remember your timely interventions at the site of the accident.

Must be great to finally get home and all the MOHO sorted,, after my last trip in France i was a wreck and that was not as bad as what happened to you ..... im glad You have the confidence and faith to go again,,, im still not sure once my health and other issues are sorted as to wether I still have the confidence to tour in Europe with a MH .

So pleased that you are well and home and the insurance paid up with an acceptable offer.

The new van looks wonderful. Here's to many more safe and enjoyable adventures.

Good to hear NFU sorted you without to much hassle, lovely new van now to enjoy your future travels

Those Malibus are lovely vans. Great choice. Sorry about your last 'adventure' with your previous van, but glad the issue is now resolved and you're back on the road to making more memories.
