Roquetas de Mar

Left Roquetas yesterday or should I say abandoned it as the weather there was windy and wet-again. Now at La Marina south off Alicanti with inlaws for a few days and it is clear, warm and the sun is out Good to see it again.:thumb:

sunny with no wind at 10.00 am , 18 degrees and rising .
Thinking of moving on to Portugal soon as the one hour reduction in evening light is not so crucial. Whats the current weather like over that side as the weather map on the bbc shows storm after storm blowing in from the atlantic. All the campers coming from that way say its been awful but have they left the good weather behind

Been lovely and warm and sunny all week - in the 20's.

Only had 2 brief showers since Monday when Steles (Stephen and Lesley) left!!

We keep being forecast for high winds and rain but it hasn't been arriving here! Think it must be bypassing us!!!:thumb:

Question for any regular snowbirds......Obviously this winter has been the coldest with high pressure and east wind in UK, so has this been the worst winter in recent years in Spain? The reason I ask as it always seems that whenever UK has settled high pressure the weather in Iberia is generally much more unsettled. Winter or Summer.

Been a sunny day with a few high clouds and light winds.
I would say this has been the hottest day of the year for us, when walking the dogs at
night we check the temperature at the local chemist and for the last two nights at 7 its been21degrees tonight it was 25.
We only called in at Daimus for a couple of nights as we're free camping but this is our fourth night and as the weather is so good we're a bit loathe to leave

Iam not a meteorologist but i believe the problem for the whole of W.Europe has been the unusual continual High pressure over Scandanavia/Russia that has been in place since mid-December i cannot give an explanation why the"JET STREAM" is over North Africa not N.UK/Scandanavia unless its the high pressure as mentioned above . This has been the least settled in N.E.Spain that i have experienced in 7 years BUT still relatively fantastic compared to UK. Quite often in previous years there would be a very dominant AZORES high pressure this year this has not been the case in general . A rambling observation in answer to yours and unless there is a massive high weather system in force(rare) i would tend to agree with your observation. We all must notice the exceptional winds/rain/snow/temperatures and draw whatever conclusions is it pure coincidence that every year brings ever more extremes? in whatever part of the globe ! AL (sorry for my enebriated waffle)

I wouldn't like my van to be on a boat with 50ft waves, or be 14 hours late. Could have driven to Portsmouth in that time.

We've had a lovely day here in Zahora.

We had a great BBQ thanks to Joe and June who are leaving us on Monday.:Sad:

It's been sunny all day - don't know the temp but it was warm enough for sleeveless tops and shorts!
