A I started this thread I thought I would sign off as we are back home now.

We had some bad & some good weather over the winter certainly not as bad as some we heard from.

During one bad spell we decided to book a trip to the Canadian Rockies, so in May this year we are off to Vancouver then through the Rockies to Calgary taking about 3 weeks. Hope the weather's better over there although I have heard that it can snow in Calgary in spring. :Eeek:

Enjoy Canada Keith -It's a wonderful place.
Snow in Spring in Calgary - good chance. We had snow in Vancouver in October last time we were there

So do your experiences with the Iberian weather mean you wont be travelling out there next winter ?

Hi Dick, No I don't think it will stop us going again. Sitting in the sun with the temp. in the teens when the UK is minus is a no brainer is it not? :sin:

I would like to try some where different though, if I can persuade Jean I fancy Greece. I know the weather may not be as good but once more it's warmer than here. It's also much quieter, the southern Spain & Portugal trip has got very crowded over the past few years.

But first Canada, with jumpers at the ready. :thumb:

I don't know if you plans allow, but a trip to Lake Louise is a must :thumb:

I have also been here in Portimao since xmas eve and had sunshine everday so far with 2 days a bit cloudy but warm everyday, cold at night and some frosty nights to, but overall excellent place to be in motorhome:thumb::thumb: Regards Garry Flatpackchicken (on The Chickenrun site)

If only you knew when you wrote this back in 2010, yes your right on one count, it's definately a lot warmer there with all the buildings on fire, and no, your wrong on the other count about it being much quieter:Doh:,
