Upsidedown Union Flag

By whom...... So what do we do..burn our National identity and let them (who ever they may be) take over.... Don't think so.. I never spent 22yrs in Her Majesty's Royal Navy to say "Ah feck it I've had enuf... take what you want" .
Don't get me wrong, I am not a racist BUT I will fight for right and wrong..... good and bad..and preserve what my ancestors fought 2 world wars and all the conflicts since to preserve.. Amen

For a flag?

Really?....

.

The Italians have the same with Cappuccino's. You could speak perfect Italian, look like an Italian, imitate an Italian perfectly but if you drank a Cappuccino after 1200hr then you are not an Italian. Viva la difference etc.

Now you are being silly.....

Sorry can't tell... that flag is not on a flag pole... it is floating in mid air... The edge on flag pole should have broad white stripe at top.

Always take the flag pole as being on the left of the flag.

same goes for a horizontal flag pole as in hung away from a building

I've just been told that Bristol Street Motors have HALVED the price of ALL their motorhomes, both new and used, and thrown in free five year warranty on parts and labour for the rest of the summer...

...I won't be taking part in that offer...

They fly the Union Jack upside down so they can "F" orf...

How old is the 'tradition'.....must go back at least 20 years....before it was just called coffee...

;)
Let every day be a learning day:
"It is believed the Capuchin friar, Marco d'Aviano, was the inspiration for this beverage.[10]"
"Marco d'Aviano, born Carlo Domenico Cristofori (November 17, 1631 – August 13, 1699)"
"The Viennese bestowed the name "Kapuziner", possibly in the 18th century, on a version that included whipped cream and spices of unknown origin. The Italian cappuccino was unknown outside Italy until the 1930s, and seems to be born out of Viennese-style cafés in Trieste and other cities in the former Austria in the early 20th century. The drink has spread worldwide and can be found at a number of establishments."

What were they then?....please explain
No no,, debate don't work like like that.. you can't say your parents had proper values to which I agreed and then ask me what they were.
You tell me what they were...... Please explain.?????

I didn't ask you about 'values - you were refering to 'my comments' - what comments?

I will add my Pennyworth to the discussion! I hate to see the Union Flag incorrectly displayed including being 'left in place' after sunset , in a ragged state.

What annoys me the most, especially here in France, where you can buy door mats amongst other items, with the Union Flag on it. Try that with the 'tricolore', you would be lynched......................

The agent for my ex - car has a 'British' themed reception area as befits a 'Morgan' garage, everything was emblazoned with the 'Union jack', as it is known here, He was very eager to show me his re- furbished reception area and was taaken aback when I refused to enter! He had a 'Union' jack door mat'.

I'm sure it went back after I left, but I did make the point that I considered it to be insulting for people to wipe their shoes on my country's national flag, or any countries flag; would he approve of the tricolore being used in the same manner!

I strongly suspect that Mr poppycamper does NOT work in the advertising and marketing world... :whistle2:

Why?

What does it matter?

Now if your custard is cold when your apple pie is served up... well THAT IS important...
