Hope the dust settles and Cite Europe is open for business again when we cross on the 27th, I will be gutted if I don,t get a fix of Stake and Shake burger and chips

I’ve stayed here lots of times, an easy drive and the Aire (car park with services) is in the centre of the High (only) Street. Get your mussels fix before venturing off. I think it’s €10 a night now though!

Yesssss.. over all length of ours with the scooter rack is closer to 10 mtrs :)
We are 12m with the trailer and I managed to get on without to much trouble earlier this year, there is a ditch behind the left side parking with a bit of a causeway across I managed to back the trailer over that although it was across the path but no complaints from anyone and only two vans there so you could park sticking out a bit if needed as roadway fairly wide.

When we have a trailer on the back we have to put a 'convoy exceptional' to be legal ..15 mtrs !

Yeh we’ve got long load plates on the trailer but only blank ones.?

Could be a problem for us... We are getting a very late train as we planned on stopping at C E for the night before travelling south

Where would the panel suggest as close alternative in a southerly direction ? ( co-ords' would be appreciated :) )

We have often stayed at Neufchâtel Hardelot about 30 minutes or so south west. No services but a safe free stop sandwiched between posh holiday homes.

I was referring to those behind the wall in the “dead centre” of sangatte.
I hope you are both well, enjoy your time away and Christmas. It’s freezing cold here today but at least it’s dry.
Are the lovely Hils and Glenns with you?
Keep us updated with your travels please.

Oh what am I like ha!ha! As I said never get any complaints there???
No not come across them may catch up with them somewhere further South?, it’s very cold here in France but usually is this time of year but been really bright and sunny today, off to Mimizan tomorrow don’t think I’ll be dipping my toes in the Bay of Biscay though?
Saw a lovely flock of Cranes circling and calling above the aire today at Roulette St Estephe.
Of course I will update on our travels I’ll start a new thread with some info later.?

Just spoke to a security guard at the aire at Cite Europe who said that it will be open all day, but the closure at 10pm is permanent. Have to say that between my french and his english that might not be accurate.

Andrea as I said on the morning thread. We're in Ypres. Probably moving on tomorrow. It depends on the time when our awning is done.
