Update on CitiEurope

Seems to got out of control now. The Police certainly could do without the added problems being caused.
Looks like no more overnighting there until Brexit.
Do you really think that? When the UK is no longer a member of the EU, do you think the French will spend a fortune stopping people leaving their shores for a non EU country?

As others have said , not south, but 10 mins up the motorway , gravelines, well easy to get to, always room, easy walk into town , shops and bars , and from around the 16th of Dec , the best proper Xmas market we have ever found, local folks with proper stuff not your usual tat. (y) (y) :xsmile:
For various reasons I am not a big fan of Gravelines.. Not saying I would not use it but only if I really have to !

I may be wrong but I thought we paid a significant amount towards the running of the port of Calais and I would think this will continue as the French will need to make a few thousand officials redundant.

Just a few minutes drive from Eurotunnel
That will do nicely :) Cheers !

What makes you think that will make any difference I would have thought there would be more trying to get in illegally if it's harder by legal means!

For those of you looking for an alternative we have spent three very peaceful nights on the Auchan Boulogne car park, only twenty minutes away from the tunnel, and just off the A16.

We won’t stay within an hour’s drive if the tunnel. Why risk it if you can avoid it?
We’ve stayed at Le Hourdel in the past, near Le Croytoy. A lovely dedicated motor home parking by the sea but no services.

The ONLY time we had something stolen whilst travelling was when we used a place just as you describe..
Reckon there is as much chance of something untoward happening no matter where you use !

We always stop at Dunkirk terminal, never any issues there at all.

Its actually us that pays for the fences.

Although who else but the french should police France? It should be argued that they should be detaining and processing them.

This sound good, may have to try it when we cross in January if it hasn’t calmed down cute Europe.

Yes quite agree and the French will probably do nothing to detract people from trying

The popular apps show many sites about 30mins to an hour away, some free, some cheap enough for a nights stop.

I’m crossing 17th December
