I am not really interested in someones IP address, which will show where a few(very few)people live abroad. But they usually incorporate that into their posts. If you use a UK sim card it will show UK wherever you travel to.

If someone wants to proclaim their proud heritage they can incorporate a flag of their choice into their avatar, even if sadly it has been appropriated by right wing and football holligans whether you like it or not (think swastika, originally a Hindu good luck symbol.......that isn't what you would be saying if you incorporated into your avatar now is it ?)

Jim who are these people who think it is a great idea and why did you choose to do it at such a sensitive and divisive time for our society. Why not let people add a flag or tell us where they are .......if they want to. This calls for a referendum

All the flags are showing is where people are from,looks to me like your trying to stir something up thats not there!

Why should you have to,it just seems an innocent thing for Jim to of done that certain people want to make out it is something its clearly not!

It shows their location. Not their political beliefs or anything else you can think of.

Of course it was a completely innocent thing to do...............................but like so many things in our "free society" I don't want to be opted in and then have to actively "opt out"

I'd rather just choose to add my flag if I want to..............but poor timing to be posting Union Flags everywhere..........................but welcomed by those who have a strong nationalistic view about Brexit.

It’s got sod all to do with Brexit. It’s a ruddy software package for gods sake.

Why did you feel the need to include the "B" word ? Weren't folk allowed to have views until the last 3 years ?

Grianan You nearly managed a 'judith' , jumartoo , & started a reasonably innocent thread that could have possibly ended in the belly locker. you're just lacking in the lack of people being banned. :rofl: & I think Judiths thread ended up about 18 pages.
 
This is a site for motorhomes and travel, the flags show where you are at the moment and adds another element of interest. You don’t have to show it if you don’t want to. If you are so upset that the database does not show precisely where you are, have a moan at these people. and or don’t log in here. I certainly won’t miss any of you who get upset about such trivia. Thread closed.
