Truma Gas Filter

I would give that one a miss connectors and body are plastic and connections are 12 mm so that means adaptors it would end up a right bodge. Also quite large most gas lockers it's quite tight getting a couple of Truma ones in don't think you would stand much chance with that one.

I would give it a wide berth.

Not suitable then, only any good for fitting after a regulator which defeats the object.

Truma not in stock at a sensible price ,swmbo still searching.
Suposedly from gaslow, half a chance?

New Truma filter back in stock at autogas2000. £45.06 inc post.
In my grubby littles and apart it inspires. Looks and feels the part, robust construction well thought out cup release mechanism, can be used in 4 orientations. Glad i ended up with this one. Lenny HB thank for your input on all the money you wasted.

In the bottom of cup is a filter to be replaced anually @ less than £3. The left hand filter only needs replacement if damaged.

Looks like an improvement on the older version I have. The only issue I have had is the gloop that collects at the bottom of the filter sometimes bubbles, not an issue until they do a pressure drop test and decide that the shut off valve on the cylinder is leaking. Easily resolved, clean out the gloop before hab check.

They are certainly good at misdiagnosis on lpg systems especially refillable cylinders with or without any filters ⚠🥴
Unfortunately it’s a limited scope training that the leisure industry gas fitters get ( they most certainly aren’t engineers as they like to call themselves).
They often try to say that the refillable cylinders are “letting by “
If they actually had any idea what they were doing they could rule that out in a few minutes very easily without causing the drama with owners they seem to love doing ⚠

It means leaking from the cylinder into the hose but not a gas escape.
Yes basically the cylinder shut off valve is allowing gas to pass (letting by )
Almost never actually is a fault with the valve , normally a faulty expert 🥴😂

Forgot to mention it is aluminium not plastic.
So the black bit is ally?, just looked like plastic. Decent update then if it is and cheaper to service,

Any chance you can measure how tall the black part is, I've got the older model but its taller and gets in the way of the test port. Wondering if the new one would solve that

Just to add, I removed my Gas it filters as I couldn't get the new paper filters to fit, there was nothing in the filters except the filter had almost come apart in one.

What are the wires for on the Truma Duo regulator ?

I kept getting leaks with the gasit filters thew them & fitted Truma ones.

Two pairs of wires one for the EisEx which is the regulator heater, the other pair is for the Remote C which tells you when the bottles have changed over.

Been having problems with boiler tripping on gas and a 212H fault code displayed on the control panel. Local caravan service centre connected boiler to a diagnostic module yesterday and everything OK. Static and on load tests carried out on regulator, static a smidgeon under 30mb when boiler started this dropped to 24mb hence boiler tripping. Test carried out 5 more times twice it dropped to 28mb and boiler fired up, 3 times 23/24mb and boiler faulted to 212H . New regulator ordered these are £200 ish but on eBay £79.95 delivered.

That is a good price, maybe clearing stock as that one has been replaced now.

Have the same filters as you Lenny replacement filter cartridges are an insane price

Thought I would replace them when fitting the new regulator but not at the prices they are asking nearly as cheap to bin them and replace the regulator 😱😱😱

How much are they now they were 20 quid each.
Which type of filter do you have ?
We stock 3 different types now as the old style Truma filters were actually manufactured by GOK .
Truma then changed to the new black ones and the older cartridge was not available .
We now import direct shipments from GOK so can get hold of all of the replacement filter cartridges and the newer pads .
