Probably depends on how much you sing whilst on the loo ...

waxing lyrical!

Sorry couldn't resist ... 😁

Hi Minxy at first read I thought you were talking about a different type of waxing 😂 😂

any quality wax will do, it seals the surface of the plastic resisting anything from sticking (when lubricated)

reseal every few months, not being indelicate but it will depend on how many solid toilet visits and any chemicals you might spray on the sealed wax

What is this pink stuff? I should be picking my MH up this week.
Let the fun begin.

I doubt it will be much use to you unless you have a dedicated flush tank. Many Motorhomes flush straight from the main fresh water tank.

The ”pink stuff” is an additive for a dedicated flush tank, that aims to sanitise the bowl. As mentioned on here previously, it can interfere with the biological action of any enzyme-based substance that you add to the cassette (or black tank).

I am so glad I posted this. Your replies and comments have amused me no end! Well, we are off this weekend just for a couple of nights to make sure all is OK with the m/h before we go off for much longer at the end of the month. I will be fully equipped with pink stuff in a spray and biological tablets to try instead of blue stuff. Peg for OH's nose too! Will adopt the Greek/Turkish drain solution of paper in a bag - scented nappy bag suggested here.

I am surprised that no one mentioned the papers that you can buy - rather like large coffee filters - to put in the loo pre no 2 which stop any skid marks (sorry!) and engulf the poo on the way down. Does anyone use those?

I don’t understand the problem. I put no chemicals in just urine, poo, water and paper. Never had a problem with smell I just make sure that the seal is in good condition by spraying with a little WD40 after emptying.
As the seal is rubber, WD40 may not be the best choice, I would use a silicone spray.

Like the bio capsule idea, will start using them, once I've finished off the blue stuff.

I find that soap weakens the seal on the pressure cooker don’t know whether the cassette seal in the same compound.

If youve been using the dreaded blue stuff the bio will not work till all traces of the blue are out of the system.
